Every year the Turkey Pro National is held the first Sunday after Thanksgiving. This was my second year attending. The event has been held in Mertztown, PA the last couple of years. It's usually a pretty small event with a pretty wide range of people and motorcycles. I've been pretty amazed at the different types of bikes I've seen there. I've seen Indian's, Norton's, Guzzi's, Ariel's, BSA's, Triumph's, Vincent's, Enfield's, Harley's, you name it. Everything from old to new. You never know what will show up.

It's a pretty unique event that ends with a slow race. The slow race is held on grass with two people going at a time. Both the competitors line up facing each other and are timed as they go around a "track" that has a uphill and downhill section. At one point they both have to pass each other. It's pretty interesting to see street bikes trying to go slow up a wet grass incline.

There must have been over one hundred bikes there on this particular Sunday. The weather was great and I was glad to see that some of my fellow ST.Ners could make it. I know my write up isn't the greatest but I hope everyone enjoys the pics and maybe sees some friends. Thanks to ST2Sam for sharing his pics.

Again, thanks for the heads-up on a neat event, I had a nice late fall (ride) day!
If you are into vintage bikes it's not to be missed and the best part 99.9% of vintage bikes were rode there! Bigok
Eric, I found a few great roads (858?) a few miles to the north on the way home, no traffic and tons of switch backs, fun fun fun.
It was also nice to see the N.Y. and N.J boys again, Marc11, cole, fav, Tomb, nescobnj, you and Pam. Clap

Maybe 863? Just up the road from the meet and really good and twisty. I ride it all the time.

Yep, thats it. There was a couple more but I don't remember ( maybe not marked?) the numbers. Next season I'll come down and you can show me a few of your favorite roads. I have a few in my area I can show you that I'm sure you'll enjoy.  Thumbsup

Sounds like a plan to me. I'm starting a new position Jan 2nd and I have the weekends off from then on. I be able to actually go on rides on the weekends.  Thumbsup
