Hey guys, I have had an Aerostich heated vest for a couple of years and love it. However, towards the end of last winter it stopped working and I just put it off since the weather was getting warm. If anyone else out there has one and also has a DVOM, please measure the resistance of the vest. Mine reads right at 4 ohms. Just trying to determine if the problem is in the switchcord or vest.
Thanks

Why ever would you want a heated vest if you're at The Southernmost Point marker on Key West?   Wink

I have the same problem.  I measured voltage at the cord and was over 12 volts.  Given that case, my vest just plain isn't working at all.

Just because I live in the south doen't mean I am limited to the hot humid area to ride. I have been as far as Washington state to the west and New York city to the north. This is a sport touring forum isn't it? Check out my wesite for trip reports...www.yamatech2003.com

I'd say it's the switchcord. My Widder reads 4.6 ohms so you're in the ballpark. No smiley expressed or implied.
