Enter the new guy and his F3 Smile

It's a '98 that had been sitting in a shed for three years.

Okay, not the most spectacular photo, but it's my bike!  Smile At rest in the Catskills.

I've had this bike for ten years now. It's got just over 60K on it after having ridden it up and down the West Coast and around the country. I still like it, but I'm itching, if you know what I mean. (Where's that bank acct. that Warren Buffet hid away for me?) I like the simplicity of it, and I've gotten used to the mellow RPMs - about 4300 at 80 MPH. When I get on just about anything else, especially I-4s, they feel high-strung, nervous.

OK, it's not a sport tourer, but it's lighter and has more power than the NT700v (Deauville)!  Smile  The Nighthawk is an '03 with 57,000 miles; I have ridden it to 39 of the lower 48 states, most of those since I retired in '06.

Dood, interesting bike. Did you customize it yourself, or was it all f*cked up when you bought it?

Yeah, those Superhawks are a steal these days. You can find 'em with all kinds of upgrades for way cheap.

I sold mine this summer after many good years...definitely miss it, but time to move on.

Finger Lakes area on our last big ride together.

http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc195/nevinreilly/CatskillsFingerlakes83108005.jpg

Sadly the new owner totalled it in a 35mph tight bend target fixation accident.  Rider was fine.  I can post the bike pick but it is very sad.

Still have my Hawk GT with beyond-hideous yet oh-so comfy Corbin King & Queen...too bad it doesn't run for unknown reasons!

Please don't tease the Harley trolls because they might get mad and throw doo-doo at you.
Q: Why do harley riders chrome all their parts???
A: It makes them easier to spot on the side of the road.
