It's hard to kill a water buffalo. It's even harder to make one look that good though.

I've since polished some of the motor. With any luck, I'll get a few things re-plated this winter.

What is it like to ride?


I bought this in December. It hadn't run since 2007 and I finished going through it and squaring it away last month. Given it is winter here I haven't had a chance to ride it, but I expect it to ride like my '86 GSX-R750G.

This GSXR works really well. Handles well enough to keep up with anything else I own in the twisties and has enough power to be entertaining. Really surprising how well it works given the tall skinny tires and simple suspension. Compared to modern sportbikes, the seating position is really comfortable too. I would have no problems having one of these as my only bike.
