Rode home in 45 degrees and drizzle. It was wonderful, as always. We're gonna go out to western Michigan tomorrow to check out a restaurant for a ride to eat. Low tonight? 38!! Heated grips are the shitz.

another brisk morning ride to work. 45 and wind gusts to 25 mph.
saw only one other bike this morning and he is the most unfriendly HD rider. in over a year he has never returned a wave to me.
at least there talking sunny later in the day.

Keep waving Ed. Kill 'em with kindness.
It was crisp this morning. Great weather but I need to find my breath guard.

I already started thinking how I am going to add X-mas lights to my bike, David gave me the idea last year when he showed up to the Winter pizza meet with lights on his bike.
Battery powered x-mas string lights...
I got mine at a Joann Fabrics store a few years go. I think.

Wanted to but couldn't. It seems that even the Feej has a limit as to what it can carry safely, and bunker gear(jacket, pantsboots, mask and big ass helmet +EMS gear) are its limits
. Next shift I will definitely ride to work though, no reason not now!

Just wear your PPE for the ride! Helmets not DOT, you could always hang that off the passenger footpegs, squid style.

I'm nearly boogie-free this morning, so I broke out the non-mesh gear and rode to work. I feel so much better now.

Pretty much the same rule-o-thumb here... a lot has to do with the weather on the way home, too. Pouring cold rains out of the nortt, eh?, really sucks big moose jewels. Bit o' sprinkle on th' way home, tho, eh... no biggie.
< 35' F and black frost begins to be a concern. It's always ALWAYS cooler and damper as I near work. Already experienced/know it's hard to remove the seat outa yer butt after a black-ice encounter...
Rode in Mon and Tue. Looked like rain Wed morn. Rained heavy this morn as I left. Hope to ride in Fri. Then, ride Sun. Sat I burn my old wooden shed. Hehheh...... f-f-f-fire !

Black ice is why I go by the 38' F rule. Shadows, low swampy areas, underpasses, thermometer variances, etc, can bring you pretty close to those pucker moments.
Tomorrow looks like a go - love those heated grips, but I gotta get a vest!

I rode, after an oil change on Tuesday.
Only
after
putting in 30 bucks of synthetic in does my star spring break off in the clutch.
Can I let this ride 'til winter?

The electrical output on the FZ6 is marginal. High beams/liner/gloves might be pushung it, especially in slow/stopping traffic. I just look like th Michelin man.

My streak is alive!! Rode to work EVERY day since mid May. No heated gear, so I'm hoping just to make it to Halloween or thereabouts.

I've been unable to ride Blu this week due to my own boneheadedness (is that a word?) but I should be back in the saddle come Monday!! YEA!!
I was on a good streak too, since I got Blu back from the ignition switch issue back in July.

I work 2nd shift, which means I get off at midnight. I'm still riding too work. Though I think my heated handgrips are finally starting to fail.
