2007 Year in Review Slideshow w/ Music

Sure, I'll ride more this year.  But, with work being as crazy as it has lately, plus the fact the holidays are among us, and the fact the weather is getting much cooler, I'll be riding a lot less.

I've been working on putting this together for a few weeks when I had the time.  The one component I wasn't sure of was the soundtrack.  Then, last week the wife and I attended a Nickel Creek concert.  I'm not a big bluegrass / folk music fan.  But, these guys make it very entertaining.  They were such great musicians to watch and they sound as good live as they do on their CDs.  So, Nickel Creek it is!

Nicely done Doug! Photo transitions were a bit fast sometimes. I'm starting to work on my Year in Review, but won't call it done until 2008 arrives. More riding to go!

I agree, too fast.  I was told 3-5 sec per pic.  Good music.

What software did you use?  

Ever see the one set to Cash's "I've been everywhere" that's been posted before?  I think it's a perfect example.

Thanks for the feedback.  Something must have happened between converting my final 48 MB version to the compressed version uploaded to Photobucket.  

Granted, the images at the end were intended to move fast.  But, the ones in the middle were not.  I'll work on it a bit more.

You can just use Microsoft Movie Maker (comes with Windows). Silly easy to use. I just made a first pass through my 2007 photos, picking the interesting stuff from each ride and ended up with a little over 300 photos. I guess I've had good year (16,428 miles so far). I'm a little short on miles (not smiles) compared to previous years due to spending 1500+ miles dual-sporting. And I'm not done riding yet. Sigh... Gonna be a LONG video.

Doug, I think you did a fantastic job, but as others have said transition was a little fast.
It's snowing here now and the road crews are out salting and cindering, that pretty much signals the end of riding season for me.
I'm looking to next year, hopefully I'll get to ride more (only 12,000mi. this year) in '08 mainly because my wife said she needs more time for herself and I need the therapy...

I got 2K miles on ya but that just tells me in need to stop for more pictures and not whizz past them or plant my face in them

Nice pictures, with the cold air coming and going I will TRY to make a movie myself. With a little over 8,000 miles and some great outings since April on the Sprint I am sure I have a few photos to make a movie

It was a pleasure to watch your slide show. It brought back memories of good times with great friends on the bikes and roads having the time of our lives.

I also appreciate the effort you put into getting such good pictures and putting the whole thing together. You also learned the software that's another kudo's
