I won a gift certificate a few weeks ago for some free luggage from RKA luggage.  I had never even heard of this company before.  I got my new magnetic tank bag today.  I am impressed.  What I nice piece of gear.    Stitching and material are all top notch.  Very nice features as well.  Seems very high quality.  They may not have the most cutting edge style but made very well and made in USA which is not common in soft luggage.   I have no doubt this bag will last a long time.  The customer service was top notch as well.

Thumbsup I second, RKA (Richard and Kathy) are great people manufacturing a great product right here in the USA. I've been buying their bags for years, had a tank bag on my ST1100, another on my Falco, and my SV650. I now have one of their tank bags on my Multistrada and one of their tail bags on my Daytona.
They have always supported the Honda Sport Touring Association with donated products for door prizes, just good people who ride bikes and make good products.

I haven't ever owned RKA luggage, but can't remember reading a single negative comment on them.

nuther happy RKA-rider here -- I've got a couple of their pieces (tail and tank bags) -- the stuff is clearly designed by riders, I like that fact that the money is going to a small shop, and the one time something went wrong (tank bag arrived without the little rubber tube guys that protect the tank from the straps)< I called, got one of the owners on the phone, and the missing parts were waiting on the front porch the next day . . . ..

I'm on my second RKA 16ltr mag. tankbag, and still use their 47ltr. saddlebags (bought used in '99). They are great products, and the owners are real enthusiasts. I've been to their store (old location) while on an extended tour, and they replaced my saddlebag raincovers for free.

I do have one negative comment, however. The magnets in their tankbags are not as strong as they should be, which I found out after having a mag. tankbag from Fieldsheer, which has hugely powerful magnets. I now use the RKA only for day trips or around town, while the Fieldsheer goes on for the longer trips.

I did notice the magnets were weaker than the ones on my nelson rigg bag but I always thought those were over kill and kind of a pain.  I pushed on the RKA from the side while it was on my tank and I couldn't see a crosswind getting so strong to blow the bag off.

Another satisfied customer. Originally, I planned to buy hard side cases for my bike, but had a hard time justifying the $900 price of admission. I just don't take long trips often enough. After looking around I chose the RKA saddle bags instead. They are great! The simple design and sturdy build are just what I wanted. Thumbsup

While this topic was fairly old I just wanted to say thanks for all the kind words. I am now running forum support and "overwatch" as I like to call it. THe consistent great reviews I am seeing is awesome, and we sure appreciate all the support over the last 27 years of building quality soft luggage in the USA.
