ESTN 2008: Marlinton, WV (Sept 26 - 28)

Hi Phil,

I'm still planning on being at your house Wednesday night.  I'm thinking about taking in as much PA back road as I can on the way out.  Then ride Thursday with you guys in OH.  Friday morning leave and head to Marlinton.  I am still toying with the idea of catching a couple more states on the way to WV (MI, IN, & KY) to add to my states ridden map.  It a big loop and a long day but a good opportunity to check off a couple more states.

I have off that Thursday and Friday before the weekend and would love to make it a four dayer. If I can meet with someone in central or around PA that will be cool. I will be rooming with Tom this round and Tom I promise I will not close down the local bar this time It will probably be the first long trip on the new to me CBRXX if I don't get out during my second week in July vacation.

If anyone is coming down from CT, VT, MA, NY, or pA that wants a riding partner let me know.

I'll be leaving NY on Wednesday morning and heading to a friends house in OH.  I plan to arrive in Marlinton Friday afternoon/evening.  Our room is reserved for Fri and Sat nights...  3 months to go...

If so i believe I rode with you when we meet up at the shell station on RT206 in Bedminster. I had a VFR then.

Looks like you need to start politicking...  Leaving Wednesday could make for a real extended weekend.  So it looks like the (ball('s)) are/is in your court...  What say you Greg?  Can you squeak out another day?  Ride on???

I'm doing a long weekend there at the end of August (Euro Rider Rendezvous at Canaan Valley, Aug 22-24, everyone welcome) to get warmed up for ESTN. There are just too many good roads down there, but I figure I can hit most of them between the two long weekends.

Yea, I pretty much try to stay out of Jersey whenever I can. This will be a tuff choice.

I always do I-84 to I-81 to avoid NYC/NJ.  Adds less than an hour and I get off in Poconos, avoid Scranton-WB.

I know a shirt or other things my be out of the question. But what is the latest I can still register to go. Now that I have ea definite plan on when ill be moving I can start to commit to some rides.

I've been trying to get the shirt thing ironed out, but Desteenation (the STN shirt source) isn't replying to my email (sigh). I thought it was good to go aside from a price quote. We have artwork and just a link to order from. I'll try again today...

I'm also having trouble nailing down the dinner so that registration can get started. Will call the lady again today. I think she may have fax'd a quote to the job I got laid off from last week.
