Anybody have any bike friendly and/or favorite hotels to recommend in Rogers City, Traverse City, and Silver Lake (Mears) ? B&B are okay too.

I'm starting to put together a 'four-finger' tour of Michigan together for early June.

Mears/Silver Lake has a few good campgrounds if you are into it. I haven't been there in awhile, they used to have only one hotel and a bunch of cabins but I am sure they have more now.

Michigan has loads of mom and Pop "resorts".  Most are clean, moderately priced and quaint.  Check the intenet for ones in the neighborhood.  Or just hit the road and take your chances.

I wouldn't exactly take my chances on a weekend up there. It gets packed in a hurry as I found out in the past.

Well I don't plan on camping, and if you get outside of town I'm sure you could find something, but i was hoping some one has a place a two where they stayed or know about and liked.

Right now I'm thinking of Rogers City on a Thurs night, Traverse on Fri, Mears on Sat. I could run it clockwise I suppose, but I don't think Rogers is really hoppin on a Saturday night. Headscratch

I whole heartly agree. I take an annual trip to NW lower Meeeechigan and if the weather is good the vacancies are few and far between. I stay at the Crystal Lake Resort on the east end of Crystal Lake, about  30 minutes west of TC. Wherever you go I'd book my rooms in advance.
