Poopies!   Sad
My trip to Birmingham has been altered significantly (Birmingham is now the first leg of a multi-leg trip) and I will need to fly.  Was really looking forward to the ride to Louisville with you.  Well, have a safe and VERY enjoyable trip.  Looking forward to the ride report!

Last call.......to tempt anyone to join us.

I am almost all packed. I just picked up my new glasses.  I will make a run to the Sam's club for a mega sized pacakge of batteries (AA & AAA if you are keeping track).

My new Tourmaster rain suit  (59.99 in a XXXXL size at Chicago Cycle) fits great over all the other layers.  Lets number them shall we... 1) Long sleeved T-shrit & jeans 2) Tourmaster Synergy electric vest and pants 3) Sweat shirt 4) thermal liners for both the Transition Jacket and Caliber Pants 5 Transition Jacket and Caliber pants 6) Tourmaster Rainsuit

Can any one say stuffed sausage.....

Dave,

check out this road just east of townsend pick up tn. 337 to cades rd. take a left and the road follows a creek. then it will run into little river rd. and end at US441.

this has to be one of the most scenic roads i have ever been on.

So, how's the trip going?

I just got to townsend.. Waiting for the group to get here. Tested earlier, and it sounds like they are having a great time Smile I picked my used '05 Vee-Strom in NYC and rode down here. It sucked up north, but it cleared up in south PA and has been mostly great since Smile

So, how's the trip going?

Just got home the threat of major rain tomorrow forced the decision to ride directly home from Townsend.

The quick report is what an incredible time.

The ride from Richmond, KY to Townsend show me what a wonderland of roads there are in Kentucky.

Friday was the most exhausting 375 miles I have ridden.  We hit alot of the recommended roads.  I got to add two new states to my list as we found are way into Georgia and South Carolina.  Trying to squeeze as much as possible into the day  which ended up being 13 hours long, allowed us to have the adventure of riding the Cherahola in Fog/Clouds so thick average speed was 15 mph.  Riding the Dragon for the second time as night set in and the Foothills Parkway in the dark, while watching my gas indicator flashing. I thought I was going to run out, but luckily did not.

Saturday my longest day in the saddle 628 miles in 12 hours.

This was a great trip pictures and movie clips in the trip report to follow some time soon.
