André, if you can get SWriverstone's attention, he has a few of them.

I have some old ones that I would have to scan in but right now, I don't know where they are.   Shrug  Maybe I'll look for them on the weekend if I have the time.

2005 Tour was two weeks following Labour Day.  I usually take 2-3 weeks off first of September

How are the temps at that time?  It looked like a mix of cooler, hazy days and warmer sunny days- just about perfect.

First couple of weeks in September, the weather varies.  We watched the ceremonial start Targa Newfoundland in St Johns, and it was hot and sunny.  We had three terrific days, then three days of rain and one day of high winds.  Even in Nova Scotia in the weather can vary a lot over the course of a day.  Start with the electrics on in the morning, and be down to a single layer under the riding suit by lunch time.

I've thought about a route like that for some time.  Maybe someday I'll get the chance to ride it.  Thanks for the photos.

It's a mystery to me why it isn't a more popular destination....too far north maybe?

The Gaspé Peninsula is very nice but you have to go outside of July & August because of the slow traffic.

Since this thread was started I did "The Rock" and posted this report on ST.N.  Lots of pictures.  Those of you who are planning to do the Cabot Trail should also plan to do "The Rock" but keep in mind that it is a big Island and it takes time to do it properly.  My trip was two weeks and I'm only about 5 hours from the ferry.
