There was more action in that one race than in all of last season. Lack of traction control definitely created more exciting conditions. Monaco should be real interesting.
Now if they could get to the finish with more than 7 cars running......
Edit - The race is going to replayed on Speed at 10:30 am Pacific time.

Halfway to a spoiler, but that's OK. It's starting right now.

HOLY CRAP WHAT AN AMAZING RACE! Kimi ran around like a mad man, made a huge run then lost his mind. And what's up with DC? And that poor guy Glock in the Toyota! Holy mother of god! The guy is lucky he can walk!

Did you see My god did you see how far his car was thrown in the air! The guy is lucky he can still walk! Those cars don't exactly have much suspension travel and aren't really designed for that kine of vertical motion. What got me was DC? I think he's starting to loose it. And Kimi....odds are he was most probably hung over. But seeing the cars just throw their back end out like that......should make for some interesting racing. Though I'm afraid more crashes. For as I understand it due to the design of these engines they behave more like two strokes than say 4 strokes. And if you "get on the pipe" at the wrong place at the wrong time.......

I like the absence of TC! This might actually make for some interesting and entertaining racing!

I guess TC had to throw away one of the pair of 40 tidy whitties he bought. My back hurt for Glock. Ferrari starts the season behind the 8 ball. BMW is right up there. Pretty good start to the season.

Do you know how hard it's going to drive one of those cars when it rains! Or in Bahrain with all that sand! One of the comentators were stating that the drivers have to relearn how to drive because the new engines behave almost like two strokes.

I think that is where the commentators are slightly misspoken. If I understand right, the cars are more like switching from 2 stroke to 4 stroke. Before they had lots of sweet leccy stuff to manage back torque on down shifts. Now they have only the clutches to work wit and are seeing lots of lock-up and wheel chatter on down shifts. I think this will actually favor the younger drivers who haven't become comfortable with all the electronics yet.

Before the ECU would controll the cars wheel spin thus giving the car a nice even apparent power band. But now they are having to deal with an unchained crack head V8 and it's power spike! Thus they can no longer power threw corners they have to puts threw "off the pipe". Now my question is this, if this continues..........how are the teams going to afford all the replacement parts?

Sorry, thought you were talking about corner entry on the brakes. The drivers are talking of having much more trouble adjusting to this part than putting the power down coming out of the turns. Before this year they tapped away on the paddles and the car did all the work. Now they are having to relearn how to stop the cars all over again as well as turning and accelerating.

So this past sundays race....not bad hu? Not really exciting but not bad. I think a lot has to do with the race track. Very long twists and turns and not much space for over taking. Now if you ask me.....and this is just me talking here. These race tracks suck! They need to be redesigned to allow more passing. It seems that the race tracks are set up for the best advertisement placement not the best racing line.

Pretty dang good race, actually. Well everywhere but up front. Of all the people I didn't expect to have this much trouble, Massa had better get the lead out.
