So a few months back I was surfing the net looking for winter gear and I came across the Klim (rhymes with climb) web site. They had some sweet snow mobile and Dirt bike gear, but more interestingly they were having a drawing to win a free Klim F4 Helmet. I entered on a whim and low and behold, I won...

They are sending it out 3day express today.. How cool is that?
Here is the website..

And here is the Helmet! How cool is that?

Smile Yeah the design is kinda out there, but if that tiered venting keeps my head from cooking this summer I'll be stoked. Mid summer here in CA is damn hot.

I just got some offroad pants from them that seem well designed and well made. I like their stuff a lot.  Thumbsup

I dunno where you ride, but my helmet would be so packed full of dirt I'd have to empty it every 100 yards. Crazy

You could hang out in front of the Sidney Opera House with that.

Klim gear totally ROCKS. Pants are built bomb proof. DirtRider reviewed the helmet a while back and knocked it for allowing dirt/sand into your head. They did say that it vented very well though.

The Helmet was too tight when it arrived, but the company immediately sent out 15mm cheek pads (stock is 20mm). The fit is now most excellent.

As for the lid itself.. The materials and finish are awesome, the thing feels really sturdy (but not heavy) and well made. The fact that it comes from the factory with both the summer liner and an Included Cold Weather Liner with Gore WINDSTOPPER® Technology, Breath Deflector, Deluxe Nylon Carrying Bag, Spare Visor and Visor Bolt,  (The carry bag is awesome by the way..) makes this a great deal.

I'll do a write up as soon as I can get it out into the field..

The web site has them at $395 and change..

I have to say I love this helmet, I was ready to like it (or not) but every time I wear the thing I like it more. So far no issues with dust through the vents and the air flow through is astounding..

I happened to be one of the  lucky ones to win the naming contest for their new vented in the boot pants  (  baja pants ) , so as a result I got a pair for free.  I did a review on them in this forum.  They would make a nice addition to the vented helmet for hot weather riding.   I am pleased with their quality,  I also have their stow away jacket which is awesome, best part is that it tucks into its own pocket and has velcro straps to go around your handle bars.
