To Dred and Others...

Two years ago Colleen and others had name tags for everyone at Nationals---don't know about South Dakota? So I'm just checking to see if there are plans to do this again---it sure is nice to have a clue who people are! It's a drag to get back home after the meet and find out all the STNers who were there but you never met/recognized/knew were there.

If it's already in the works, great!  Thumbsup If not, I'm happy to volunteer to crank some out if I can get a list of who's coming.

BTW, I think the ideal format for the name tags is...

SCREEN NAME
(RealFirstName)

...since a lot of us feel silly calling people in person by their screen names, LOL.

That's how we did it for ESTN last year.  I did it using the Avery label software and purchased nametags at Office Depot.

Some twist ties and duct tape were two items which allowed me to ride the KLR home when my left footpeg broke off a few weekends back while exploring some of the Laural Highland's finest DS roads with Garry and crew.   Bigsmile

The best zip ties ever are the disposable riot handcuffs cops sometimes keep in their squads.  I don't know why the guy in Eagle, WI had a bunch (probably for the occasional bar brawl) but it totally did the trick on my friend Jeff's ZRX for reattaching one of the rear footpeg mounts.  For all I know it's still an integral part of his bike.

Hey Dred...just saw your post re: nametags. I like the white gaffer's tape idea.  Bigsmile But hey, if you want, I'm happy to print up some nametags. I don't need more than a couple days' lead time---just enough to run to Staples and buy some tags. So let me know! (And I'll keep an eye on this thread.)

Make sure you all keep track of your ignores.  I also strongly suggest printing little handheld signs stating "This User is currently ignored" which you can hold up in each other's faces in a new-era, geeky-as-hell version of "talk to the hand, bitches."
