I hope I don't look like a fair-weather poser since I pre-declared I'd be caging today.
I launch for my big 4th of July Rustic Road/Kettle Moraine/other parts unknown excursion doing my first bit of motorcycle camping tomorrow after work. That be some serious posin'!

Free bike wash / shower in twenty minutes. Not only that but it looks like the garden is getting a watering.

I got to enjoy the light show on my way home tonight and a FREE bike wash also. The gear did it's job and kept me totally dry.

I went without the rain gear so with my mesh on I was totally drenched. However this was not a bad thing, it was warm enough that I found it very refreshing.
I was more worried about the lighting.

it was raining pretty good this morning and my rear tire doesn't inspire confidence on slick surfaces, so i caged it. oh well, i'll be riding this afternoon if it clears up.

Yeah, good times for sure when the risk of hypothermia is low!

Yeah, the ride to work was a good shakedown for the road ahead. She sits a bit lower and stops a little slower with all the weight on, but it's well-balanced and I had zero load shift under heavy (practice) braking. I hope to launch around 3:00, but might get held up by a last minute "Let's have a meeting to be @$$holes before a holiday" meeting.
As far as where specifically, It's a no, er OLD-man's land betwixt Grayslake and Round Lake Park.
I should be in the neighborhood of West Bend, WI tonight.
