If he is "losing money" on it at $6,000, how much did he pay?

Dood, interesting bike. Did you customize it yourself, or was it all f*cked up when you bought it?

Strange how people selling CBR125's and the Ninha 250 keep saying that they are always sold out at the dealerships. My local dealership has plenty of both!

You know at $3.5K MSRP it does not justify putting full coverage insurance on this bike in most states. Why Lo Jack
Maybe he really does not want to get rid of it and the ad it his proof at an attempt to satisfy the family issue
since it will never sell at $6k.

I could see it getting expensive if you do not know how to work with a dealer, and know nothing about bikes going into the deal.
3500 - sticker (You pay the price on the item, like at Wal-Mart, no haggle)
1000 - Prep fe (Some people pay the dealer prep fee they stick on)
600 - Tax/Title/License
??? - Lo Jack

people are still paying MSRP for these because they believe they are still very hard to find. I have seen several setting on the showroom floor in dealers lately, so that must not be the case anymore. But yeah, I bet he got hosed by the dealer

About another $500 to $650 for the Lo-Jack depending on how much the dealer is trying to fleece off the top. That'd put him at about $5600 give or take, and then throw in another $500 for the gear. That's still too much crack to be smoking. At that price, I might as well just go to the dealer and get me a new one WITHOUT the Lo Jack and Gear, and I'd still end up $2K or so cheaper at least.

To be fair in some places they are hard to find. When gas was cheap not many dealers ordered many of the 250's. Now that gas is high, the dealers will get more of the small bikes.
Still I can put lots of gas in my Buick for the 4500 over list that bike is priced at.

Enough said!
$6k buys a LOT of gas for ANY bike (or car, for that matter).
I'll NEVER understand those who would pay that.

???
I'll never understand someone that keeps extending their bike payments by trading/selling every couple of years.

My car is 10 years old, but I am looking at trading the bike every 3 years.
