Quite the contrary.  The lone HD rider I coaxed in to doing a saddlesore and bunburner with me had quite a few issues with body aches and pains do to his riding position.  But you seem like one of those guys that needs to have the last word, so I'm going to let you.  Cheers.

Thanks for the last word. I appreciate your permission!  Bigsmile

Possibly the lone rider you have experience with was not set up properly for the long run.

This is kind of ludicrous, really. You are suggesting the position on your CBR is more conducive to long distance touring than a cruiser or standard?????  Headscratch

The CBR's riding position is based off of a racing position. It is built for control and speed -- not for long distances.

Why am I in the wrong place? Because there is no way a HD could possibly tour or run the twisites? Hmmmmm......I must have missed that clause in my owners manual.

Due to your continued comments of which Steve.ski commented on... sportbike riders as power rangers or squids and referring to members here as squids that do wheelies and stunts for an hour rather than daylong riders all lead to the direction that you believe you are in a sportbike forum.

I didn't mention ANYTHING about a HD not touring or running the twisties. You need to learn how to read full sentences.

You must be male since you are selective about what you care to read. Do you listen that way, too?  Twofinger
(To all other males of ST.N - please ignore. I know you guys can read full sentences.  Lol)

I am not surprised by any negative reaction.

As to your "points" you listed.....I seriously think you need to look into getting a sarcasm implant. As well as to getting a better grip on putting statements in context. I've never bashed any brand and have stated many times I respect all brands (you conveniently ignore that). Any comment I have made that you deem otherwise has been done completely in a humorous "touche...riposte" mindset in response to a dig at HD, my bike or a personal jab. In fact, in my opinion I believed I went out of my way to communicate I was poking fun at the HD stereotype.

If you took that stuff seriously and considered it a bash, then again, I suggest you look into getting the implant I suggested above.

And the same sarcasm implant is needed for you as well. Many of the posts (especially the sock full of quarters one) were meant to be tongue in cheek, sarcastic, etc. You and I bantered back and forth in good humor a couple times, and I took no offense.

I've done my best here, but it appears you don't want to hear reason nor fit into the community here. That's regretful. See you around dude...

I think you are the one with the selective reading problem. If you think I have called everyone here squids or power rangers etc, then you're seriously wrong.

Any comment I have made has either been sarcastic or in response to a bike bigots bash on HD, HD riders or myself personally. I have not bashed anyone's choice of ride. Quite the contrary, HD riders are bashed in here like it is a sport. So Ms. Self Righteous, are you going to lecture them now? Or are you a hypocrite?

Not really. Kinda like golf. A lot of people do it, but it really isn't much of a sport.  Lol

Actually, I believe the only HD rider I would bash would be you. All the others I know are decent people, that even tho I do give them a hard time about their choice of bikes, I will ride with them and enjoy their company. I work with 2 such people. One barely wears any gear and I give her shit for it. The other owns 2 HD, 1 BMW, and a trackbike.

You sir, (and I use that term very loosely) are a jackass and just wish to watch tempers flare. Your inflammatory topics are meant to get a rise out of the general populace here is ST.N land. While there is a sarcastic tone to many other threads, your comments do not come across that way. Your use of the " Headscratch ", " Twofinger ", and other emoticon just do not come across as sarcasm. Your threads come across as attacks. If you wanted a different reception, you should have tried a different approach. It is possible to razz someone without inciting them. You need to learn the difference.

Since you post so little about yourself, what year is your HD? How many miles and years are behind your riding? Better yet, are you even legal to drink?????

And, no, I really don't expect you to answer the last 3 questions. That would mean you actually read them.  Bigsmile

Oh hell yeah man. In fact I'm finishing off a 6 pack of brew right now and then going for a ride!

As to the other parts of your post......thanks for the kind words. I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. In fact, as I was reading them I started to feel warm all over. Then I realized that was just the burger I had for lunch.

It only proves there are 28 thin skinned people in here who can't handle the heat. Nothing more, nothing less. If it hits triple digits, then I will be impressed.

This is not as good as your other threads, Cosmic.  Thumbsdown

If you want to hit the magical 100 mark, you have to be more subtle. Lots of us see what you're doing and don't ignore you because the stuff is entertaining.

You're going to have to re-register and seem more sincere. Like you're ignorant and angry at us.

Here's how you do it:

a) sign up and write an introductory post, something like: "Hi folks. I've been a Harley rider for 25 years. I'm curious about a bike that will maybe handle the corners a bit better. I'm also tired of all the oil leaks. Looking for advice for something nice, not too fast to start with."

b) Post for a while and get peoples' trust
