Hi,

I am riding from NJ to Los Angels and need your route recs. thru your region.

Good roads between I-70 and I-40 would be much appreciated.

Hi Don,
What month are you coming through? With elevations between 1,000 and 9,000 MSL you could roast in 115 degree heat or ride through snow in sub-freezing temps.

Then catch UT 12 across southern Utah.

If you are heading west on I70 out of Denver,  consider one of the following options to cross down to I40 in Utah.

1.  Head south on Highway 89 in western Utah, and ride down through Bryce Canyon, Cedar Breaks, Kanab, Jacob Lake, the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Vermillion Cliffs, Marble Canyon, and into Flagstaff.

2.  Head south on Highway 191 in eastern Utah, and ride down through Moab (Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Monument valley, then south on 89 at Cameron to Flagstaff.

3.  If you have lots of time, head south out of Denver to Salida, to Gunnison, to Montrose, through Ouray and Silverton, to Durango, and then to Flagstaff.

Any of the three will be memorable.
