Failed, I'm afraid. Rebecca went off to mDarjeeling with my camera, so I borrowoed youngest son's camera. He charged for me, but forgot to put the memory card in. Coz he's lost it.
Anyway..it was bigger than 2007, much, much bigger than 2006, etc. There were sports bikers, far too many HD riders (is it me, or do those things just look soo out of place at a Brit bike meet, especially in their thousands-some nice old ones, tho, going back to the 1940's), hippies, outlaws, road trash, new age hippies on trikes, Mods, scooterists, Rockers, Greasers, Teds, Norvins, Tritons, Tribsas, Triumphs, Ariels, some bloke riding a bike with a Chevrolet engine in it, old Japs, new Japs, middle age Japs, outfits, so much stuff. About 70,000 bikes in all, many very special.
These are all the pics I could get
The peeps I rode down with, whom I lost in Brighton and never saw again:

Sorry about the poor quality and the very few pics...

What is that bright orb in the sky?
Smoke from a 1950's Lambretta.
Next up is the Brightona at the same location. Bit of a Harley fest but should be so nice Brit and Italian stuff as well...
12th October. A measly fiver to get in.

Brightona. I only stayed for two hours...the sound of thousands of Harleys on open pipes begins to grate after a while.
C'mon Ant, get yours sorted
Did I mention Harleys?
And a quite a few old (mainly american) cars. Some heavily modded, some not.
My parents had one of these...slow old thing it was
Yes, that is a 50's Morris Minor..
More later.

There were bikes parked up from the pier to Black Rock, in rows five deep. That's about three miles...quite a few then.
More cars
More bikes
Now, this was the most interesting bike I found...a Royal Enfield..but is it a diesel? I vaguely recall that they made one briefly.
sacrilege
Competing for best rat trike. Should win.
HD should have put Triumph Scrambler pipes on the XR12000 in the first place
Best rat
Both had overheated in the heavy traffic getting there...the trike dumped its coolant and then went into reverse-over a shiny Suzuki. Little harm done
