Don't worry, I did the same just a couple tags ago.  We've been doing this for 3 years now and some have joined the game mid-point or later.  

It's just an excuse to go ride, but not for me this week.  I'm entertaining head office corporate muckity-mucks Wednesday and Thursday, then hitting the road for four days.  Y'all have fun.

I know this is off topic, but how stupid is it to have a no helmet law?  How many pirates will die within the next two years because their bandannas wont protect their skulls?  As for me helmet always.    Sorry, just had to vent that one.
