Ok so I leave work early about 0430 hours so that I can be up by 11:30. (you know the crack of noon) Want to get to the tag early enough to meet Clay because he said, "Rev your motor and honk and I will come out.  So I had to get there before school let out.

So it was about 94 miles of back roads to get to the tag.  Great ride.  I get to the school, rev the motor and a quick honk, pull up to the sign for the tag and sure enough out comes Clay.  And of course Clay rode to work today.  Yes, Clay I did see the Bandit sitting in the lot.  Nice looking bike, Clay.  So some of his student came out to be in the tag.  Very cool.  I hope this inspires them to not let grass grow under their feet and that they travel and see the world or at least the part they live in.

Well here is the tag of the sign to be official.

http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm7/wibornz/10-21-08_1352.jpg

Then a shot with the kids.  A great bunch of kids I must say all seamed polite and respectful.  Nice to see those traits in the kids.

http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm7/wibornz/10-21-08_1354.jpg

http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm7/wibornz/10-21-08_1353.jpg

So on to the next tag.  I am going to post two pics.  The first one with the wood statue is the tag, I am not giving any hints, so it could be hard to find.  It is a nice area to ride, but off the beating path.

http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm7/wibornz/10-14-08_1822-1-1.jpg

The second pic is a bonus pic.  It can be counted as the tag, but it will be a good ride to it to tag it with the weather getting colder.

http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm7/wibornz/09-21-08_1001.jpg

So enjoy and go get them.  I have at least two more pics that I want to post as a tag this year.

Eagerly a waiting the chance to tag again.

So is this a tag of a tag?
http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l58/clay_lubbers/Tag/tag3001.jpg
Great to meet you!  I think we just sold a bunch of kids on riding  Inlove and just drove a bunch of parents nuts tonight.  We had talked about the game- but I'm not sure they fully understood it until they saw it take place.  They asked all about the bikes, riding, where we go, all those things. It was great PR for the kids, that's for sure!

Time to spend an evening with google and find that next tag!

Hey if you want to go all the way across the state on Friday, I will surely attempt to clear my schedule and hook up in Durand.  :pokestick:

Boy- tempting.  The only problem is that I'll be in South Bend, Indiana that morning and not able to leave till mid morning.  EeeGads!  I don't hink I'm gonna be able to make it.  I found the Saling School one- it's the statue that's killing me!

Pollux......You must have found the one by the lake, as the one with the statue is only about 50 miles for you each way.

Just because the weather is going to be terrible this weekend....Here is a hint so that you will not have to ride so far....Unless you want to.

maple syrup festival motorcycle michigan

This would be a good start for a google search.  You may be able to find the statue on one of the pages.

Not so tough to a pancake eater like me. In the small town of vermontville, where my relatives lived.
Today was a beautiful Day for a ride.

Nice work!  Time to look for the next.  I can't make the ride to the Lake Friday pollux- I was sorely tempted to skip out of my convention Friday and ride, but I really need to be there (it's in South Bend).  I'll be out by noon though, and looking for the next tag, wherever it may be by then.

BTW pops- great tag!

It looks like the major retailer of Pewamo has closed up and it is for sale. While it is not in Ionia, it is not far away. There are some covered Bridges in the area that would make a nice tag also, I mean if your going to the mall it would be a nice next tag.

And by the way I know where the pewamo mall is.  I used to drive by it going to work in Ionia. But I have put on about 600 miles this week...Meaning I have neglected some stuff that I need to get done. SO the pewamo mall is safe for now, I do not have enough time to tag it anytime this week or weekend. If it is not tagged by next Wednesday, I may be able to get to it.

And hey the lake shot is at Port Sanilac on Lake Huron.  Nice little town.  The wife and I rode around the thumb and stop at the marina because a friend of mine had his boat on a slip there.  In the pic at the marina if you did not notice, the wife is parked behind my bike on her 1200 Bandit S.

Well it looks like I will be able to get the Sailing School after all. I will be leaving about 10 - 1030 am and make a stop in Flint to buy some new riding pants.

I will be checking in in the morning before I go.

This is FUN
I knew that this type of stuff was out there, but I didn't know how.

I look forward to checking out the progress. When you put footnotes in, it makes it all the better. I am becoming good friends with Google looking for the tags. I was lucky on the Indian statue because I knew where it is. But, there are a ton of possibilities out there and the year is growing short so we must get moving out there.

Being semi-retired has its advantages, I only have one boss to appease.

Well, got gloves, got coat, road is dry, lets ride!

I was lucky on the Indian statue because I knew where it is.

That was a tough one! To try and find it, I could see that there was a Pro Hardware sign on the store behind the statue, so I made a  call there corporate office, asked for the district manger for Michigan and asked him if he knew of the statue? which he did not Headscratch but he was kind enough to call someone in the organization that would know and gave me a call back with the statues location.

With out having personal knowledge of that statue I probable wasted a good hour at work hunting it down Lol Lol Lol
