The next one- it's not on the way to lunch, but it should be a nice ride.  It's just off the same road as the Pewamo Mall- just at one end of it...

Well set on to get the windmill on Sunday with Pops66.  We got to Middleville and it started to rain on us, but he we are motorcyclist, no a motorcycle rider.  So we pressed on in the rain.  So much for the hour I spent detailing the bike on Saturday for the group lunch at Joe's Gizzard City.

So me and Pops66 both know right were this is as we have had to take the wife's shopping in Holland before.  So through the rain and wind, not bad though  we did not get to wet.

The tags are from aways away as the gate was closed.  Go figure it's Sunday.

Only thing is we got a little cold...Is there a decent coffee shop in Holland or Zealand...NO.  We pulled off in Hudsonville to get coffee and warm up a little.

Then it was off to me and Pops66 group tag.

We did pass the Hooker Cemetery so we had to stop and re-tag hehhe.

http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm7/wibornz/11-02-08_1421.jpg

So off for about an hour and a half ride to find an out of the way spot.

So here is the next tag.

 Bigok Ya Buddy.

We talked too long at Joe's Saturday to make the run to Holland. So we started early Sun under cloudy skies.  Headscratch It was dry so OK. Got about half way there and it started to rain.  Sad Time to check out my new riding coat for waterproofing. Good news it is dry.  Inlove About a half hour and the sun came out. A beautiful day for a ride. We put on a little over 200 miles and actually found a couple of "new" tag possibilities.

Don't know if team tagging is kosher, but, riding with a friend is really great. Burnout

By the way - 100 + miles to find a gate to the park. CLOSED  with locks. Mad2 Thought about riding down the joggers lane, but don't need the trouble that far from home. Oh well, ya gotta love it

Thats it - Wibornz posted the pictures, I am back in the cave waiting for the next posting.

See ya there

The second pic is a bonus pic.  It can be counted as the tag, but it will be a good ride to it to tag it with the weather getting colder.

http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm7/wibornz/09-21-08_1001.jpg

So enjoy and go get them.  I have at least two more pics that I want to post as a tag this year.

Matkal and myself had a great ride today and tagged the bonus pick. A bit on the chilly side but nice and sunny. Tried out the new gerbings pant liners. Worked great! Thanks for the great route out Matt. Had fun, have to do it again soon before it gets too cold.

I think team tagging is awesome!  Very nice.  Yeah- the gate was closed when I was there too, but the volunteer workers were driving out through the jogging road, so I drove in there, down the road a hundred yards or so, and got the pic.

Since you passed Hooker Cemetary again, did you ride out and around Gun Lake and the Yankee Springs game area?  There's some *great* riding out there!

Time to examine the pics and google- glad you guys had fun on it!

It is a privately owned State Historical Land Site.  I believe the only one in the state.

MADE IT!  Smile
Wow does it get dark fast after the time change.
The clue that gave it away was the sign in the bridge picture.  If you squint just right you can read "Earl's Dream".  A google search of that phase leads you to Historic Bowens Mills just north of Gun Lake.  The last couple of miles of the drive is really twisty through the woods, which made me feel a little leary because it was dusk, November, and I was driving through the woods on a bike alone.

When I got there, it looked rather closed up and the skeeters were out like crazy.  Alos, I wanted to get out of the woods before it got much darker, so I just got a couple of pictures.

This place's driveway is about as off-road as I want to get with a V65.  It's just about a two-track.

I'll post the next tag in a second.

I should introduce myself.  I'm a friend of Clay, and he and I have done a lot of long-distance rides together.

Clay has been talking a lot about this photo tag, so I thought I would give it a try.  I busted it out of work today, but it got dark amazingly fast.  I wish I could get better pictures of this next tag, but my camera could only do so much in the low light.  If you need better pics I can stop there again sometime.

Is this an okay way of inserting pictures?  It appeared to be the easiest way.  Anyway, here's the next tag.
