Well... glad to see I am in touch with reality regarding the mods on the TRAT Sprint sub-forum...
Seems all you need to do there is agree with the mods and close each post with "Cheers", and all is golden.
At any rate, I have found some good tech info.
Cheers!

Back from the dead - same question, different year, I see no need to start a new thread.
I'm looking for information on Bonneville’s and Truxton’s. I registered and can log into Triumph Rat but all the forums are locked. I've tried to contact administration multiple times but I can't get a response. Can anyone help me out?
Looks like the opinion of T-Rat here is pretty low. I didn't see a Bonnie or Thruxton site mentioned - is there one? I found The Speed Triple helpful in getting some information about those particular bikes.
.
It takes the mods over there some time to get you approved. You register, they check you out and turn the key, then you can post. Give it,oh, a week or so and they'll get round tuit.

It's been like a month. The 'check you out' part probably screwed me. Oh well.

I'm not sure. I do know that if I would have quoted your post to respond to your questions, I probably would receive a PM from a mod telling me that is the wrong way to post.

There's also a New Bonneville forum on Delphi forums:

Haven't been there in years so I can't speak to the quality/quantity, but I just checked and it seems to still be alive and kicking.

Good god, that one wasn't much better. There were some helpful members but whoever runs it is a douch.

I've found the Sprint forum to be overlorded by pompous self-important windbags.
It's not a very "welcoming" place, it seems like the long-timers just want to stroke each other over how much better they are than the newbies.
They drove me off the forum long before I sold my Sprint. Some great tech knowledge, some terrifying attitude.

Pretty much the same here, I quit going there around the time they sold out to that group buying up forums all over the place. I just traded away my Sprint last May.

I just got banned for life from there last week. Couple of folks started acting like asshats and I called them on it. I was banned for threatening violence. I too enjoyed the technical information but dang they sure don't play well with others.

Gerry,
Check out my thread about putting a different tire on my bike over there. It's probably deleted by now though. I offended Davem and a popo. I agree with you posting your name on the board. It is better than saying things and hiding behind a keyboard .

Yup, thread is still there. The only two hos there were DaveM and the popo from OZ.

I think DAveM gave up moderation. I still go there on occasion. Wading through the attitude is not so difficult with deft typing fingers.
Lots of useful info and helpful people there, but yes, an attitude adjustment for many would improve the place.
