No offense, but isn't MCN kind of like the Weekly World News of the motorcycle community?   Razz  Bat Boy Spotted on All New Norton Commando!

Sometimes it seems like these guys write articles about what they *want* to have happen, and not what's actually happening.

Only where Honda and VFRs are concerned. They've been pretty accurate for Triumph and Guzzi IIRC.

That looks like the Kenny Dreer Norton.

Is that the Commando 961 referred to in the article?

It will be the Dreer Norton. Plus a race replica rotary. Mebbe 2 other models.

The whole thing is going to happen, defintely. Prices may be high-about 200 bikes to be sold a year. I need a lottery win...

One of the mags did a story on this (CW I think).

It sounds like this group might succeed as they have no debt, and really will only be assembling the bikes from parts made by other suppliers.  

Any expansion will take place using a very cautious format. The President stated that they have no intention of becoming a full fledged manufacturer as was the idea in the past. Think of them as being really a custom builder.

I thought the guys business plan would work. Build the bikes once they are ordered.
