Do you own one ... some?

I own a bunch. The latest purchase was this summer when I bout a 32 LED lantern for the family camper. It has a lead acid batter that you charge on the fly and last for about 3 whole days on a charge. Apart from a couple of brigt spots, it is a much more soothing light than those dang gas lanterns.  I like it.

But by far the best two LED's I own are the Petzl headlamp and the Pelican 5 LED flashlight. Both are on their original batteries and over two years old. BTW, I use them alot.

Got any LED gizmos that bubba should buy. It is right up there with knives. Gawd I love knives. It kinda scares me how many I have. LED's are a close second.

Show me yer LED's ... PLEASE !!!

Interestingly, led headlamps just don't seem to work for me. Admittedly, it's been a couple of years since I played with one.
 
I've got awful night vision, and the light quality of the led headlamps I tried at the time had me stumbling around in the dark, clutching my bf's arm on night hikes.
 
I've just been putting fresh batteries into my regular bulbed miner's headlamp whenever it dims.

I'm a big fan of my "Freedom Micro Photon" keychain light.  The thing is tiny as can be (!) but puts out enough light to really use.  Neat flashiing features and two tiny clamp systems (magnetic and mechanical) let me use it as a headlamp or drop-light as needed.  I think I paid $12 for it and I replaced the batteries once in a year or so.

My brother in law gave me one of these battery-free flashlights for christmas last year. If you shake it for a minute you get about ten minutes or so of light.

"No doctor. My tennis elbow is from my flashlight. No really. It IS!  See, there's this flashlight ...

I only have a couple of 5 led flashlights and I love them.

I have one of these head mounted devices. I fookin love it. I use it all the time, from grilling in the dark to helping the neighbor work on his beater truck. Best $20 I've spent in a looong time. 6 LED's. 2 spot, 2 flood, and 2 nightvision (red). You can also use the spot and flood together.
