Did a little "Belgian Beer" tour in Philly this weekend.  Bottles included:

Petrus Pale Ale

Most definitely not my thing.  Very, very sour.

De Dolle Oerbier

Very tasty, 2nd favorite of the day

Potteloereke

Fantastic

Delirium Tremens

Can't go wrong with an old standby

They finally got Gulden Draak on tap at our local tavern (they've been waiting for it for a couple of months now)!!! W00t!

I think a short walk may be in order this evening.

Last night (belated post), 2007 4 Vines Petite Sirah Paso Robles.   Oy vey, such yum.  I savored a glass one sip at a time, saving the rest for a repeat performance tonight.

Alas, the pitiable whimpering of unconsumed syrah keeps me awake. It is more humane, and much less stressful to simply finish it.
Much like "leftover" pie.

Wink  It was just as good (if not better) the second night!  So no whimpering was heard.

Back to plonk for this evening. I visited the chicken farm today and bought all kinds of parts to freeze; making turkey soup with good Polska noodles.

Acceptable and appropriate for the occasion. You do what you gotta do in camp or hotel. I killed a bottle of Shiraz out of my coffee press.  Lol

Although I've not had Lone Star, none of the four Shiner varieties in their mixed 12 pack were any good. All were very average, nothing like a Great Lakes or Bells. Razz
