Gee you picked the worst time of year to try and sell a bike around here. If this was March/April I'd be taking a ride and checking out one of the two street bikes you have. I am definitely going to sell my cruiser in the Spring and will be looking for a sport tourer. If you still have them available then drop me an IM.

Um... wow.  I could sell my '97 VFR for close to that and trade up!

This is a great bike, I love to take it out for the day by myself;  ...but

I did ride it from FL/ GA border to Massachusetts in one day with no discomfort.

I have decided to keep my busa, and she has decided we will keep our FJR.

I just dont have the time to ride the others, and insurance, tags, and storage fees

are keeping us from further travel.  Realistic Down payment will hold it till spring??

I Dont know about the alternator?
but the "wiring harness" recall is
 a connector/bad ground issue.

I also thought the Electrical System wiring harness was the only recall.

Your VFR looks clean and good luck with the sale.

There were 2 recalls and 3 TSBs IIRC.
Alternator/Stator
Brakes
Wiring harness
Rear subframe.
Cam chain tensioner.

$4k is a killer price for this bike.

Thanks for the info on recalls and TSBs.

If our dollar was still at par I'd be planning a fly-n'-ride (once it gets a little warmer, of course).  Good luck with the sale.

A PM was sent to you on 1/13/09 but I never received a reply so I thought you sold the thing.   Actually went looking locally again and found something  with no shipping issues so thanks for not replying.  Good luck with the sale.

Have you tried getting your insurance to quote without collision?  If you're willing to go without you can pay for the bike in a few years.
