"CALL NOW! BECAUSE WE CAN'T DO THIS ALL DAY YOU KNOW!"  rofl I think ShamWow had at least 2 or 3 booths in different locations at the Novi, MI show. I could not believe how many people had actually purchased them. ( You can't miss the yellow ShamWow sticking out of those blue Progressive bags). I would bet more ShamWows were sold than cycle gear. I guess the commercials must work. I will be curious if anyone makes the same observation at the Chicago show.

Yes sir they where in every other bag.  It makes sense as there would be now way I would buy that from the TV.  In person it and able to touch it, I can see the impulse to pop for it.  I did not buy then in person either but I understand the impulse.

I impulsively bought these...

All I know is that every time I see that Shamwow commercial I want to lob a brick at that inbred looking douche hawking it.

+1, I hate that guy. But it was the only thing worth getting at the show this year.

I impulsively bought these...

I bought those late last year. Not as insulated against cold as I'd like but very comfortable and seemingly with good protection. So far, I'm really liking them as a winter boot.

They appear to be water proof too, show price no different than what I found on line but no shipping.  Not bad for $69.00

I haven't given them a good soaking but they've gotten damp the past few times I've been riding this time of year. Feet stayed dry.

Bought myself the new Nolan N-103 and a couple of N-Com components to give me full on stereo, wired and bluetooth as well as the requisite phone control. Also bought a couple of Fieldsheer tank bags.

I wanted to try on a Scorpion EXO 700 helmet, but never did find one.  Tried on an EXO 400 and it felt really good, but I don't know how that shape compares to the EXO 700.

I wanted to try on and even buy a pair of Sidi Canyon boots.  Never saw them either, but I didn't hold out much hope of that anyway.

So, I bought nothing.

I've heard the helmet bluetooth only last 4 or 5 hours at a charge. I'll be curious about your experiance.

I had no intention of buying anything, but I wanted to look at the BMG gear again as I like their stuff. I got a pretty good deal on the jacket I've wanted for a few years.

I bought the rim clamps and I tried on the boots I liked, walked around for a few minutes, sat on a few bikes.  Realized I really didn't like the fit or feel.  So this did save me the hassle of returning them.

got a pair of belstaff max gloves from a nice young lady at the arai booth.  she wasnt the best sales person.  i asked her what kind of leather they were made from, and we settled on swiss emu leather  Lol.  then i had to complain about the yellow weaved in with the carbon fiber, but she convinced me it was 18k gold, plus they seem pretty comfortable with less seam inside then my alpinestars that make my right hand fall asleep, so i got em

I wanted to look at Shark RSI, couple of jackets and URALs.

Instead I:
Sat on a Grisso till my GF pulled me off one. Inlove
got the GF to sit on a few bikes and find one she would want to get  Inlove
found the cheap SparX helmet in XXL and it didin't even fit over my big head  Headscratch
found only dealer with Shark helmets, only to find out they only carry S650  Thumbsdown
test fitted couple of jackets, but no real good deals that I found Sad
walked by NoMar booth on my way out and ended up getting one  Lol

all in all, we had a great time.

I also came home empty handed.  Was hoping to try on Vemar VTXE and Schuberth helmets and a pair of Sidi Strada Rain Boots but there were none to be had.  I did get to try on a Bell Star helmet.  That's a pretty nice lid and will be in the running next time I'm helmet shopping.  Also found a pair of Teknic Violator waterproof boots that I liked but I needed one size bigger than what they had in stock.  I didn't even know you could get that model in waterproof.  I may try to track down a pair of these when my current boots are done.

I must be on the right bike because the BMW K1300S was the machine that grabbed me the most.  It was nice that they had a white one at the show.  I was really wanting to check out that color.  Plus, it had the optional rack installed that will retrofit to my bike so I got to check that out.  It's pretty small so I don't think I'll get it but it was good to see it in person.  I found a Givi tail pack that I think will work better than the BMW rack will.  Didn't buy it but now I know what I want.
