So I got the idea reading a thread on the Multistrada Forum where everyone was talking about how they have the best wife on the planet because she let him do "X".

So I thought, that could be a good thread all on its own.

Fill in the blank "I have the best wife/husband in the world because _____________ "

I'll start;

Because she shares my "addiction" with me, has bought me more motorcycles than I care to remember and rarely complains about spending money on motorcycles.  Plus this be the two of us:

Oh and she let me have the "S" model Multistrada. Smile

That pic is awesome.  And I wish my wife shared my love of motorcycles.  Even so,

I have the best wife in the world... because she doesn't get the whole bike thing at all, is even a bit afraid of them, but knows what they mean to me so doesn't mind when I take off for rallies, spend a week each summer on the bike, or blow the budget every 3 years or so on a several week trip, and encourages me to get a new bike when the old one starts acting its age.  She likes me to pick out the gear I want for birthdays, listens to my road tales, and adds my Iron Butt rides to the Christmas letter.  Even though she doesn't share this passion, she's glad I have it.

Although, now that I think about, we seem to get a lot of milk delivered while I'm gone...

+1.  And with 2 toddlers, it be nice that she lets me out of the house without all the screaming fits.  Though I personally haven't noticed an increase in the milk deliveries.  EEK! That's reassuring!!  Lol

Because she's intelligent, successful, hard working (MS in engineering, licensed engineer, department head in a male oriented field in a very conservative location), a lot of fun, and gets & loves me even with all of my weirdness & quirks!

She introduced me to her pet when we first met and that was a cool adventure!
http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a62/snanney/100_1815.jpg

When I did the right thing and asked permission to get a bike she responded with "Yes, if I can have my own."!!!!! Seen here.
http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a62/snanney/100_1645.jpg

She knows her way around a power tool! Here she is installing a kitty door in our garage door. Oh, and you can't really tell in this pic, but I think she's a hottie!
http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a62/snanney/100_2050.jpg

And she convinced me to adopt our current pet.
http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a62/snanney/100_2712.jpg

Among many, many, more reasons than I can list.

Mine will never ride as a passenger (for long anyway) and I love the freedome of coming and going as I wish, so she has my vote for "freedom".

I think we riders who make it perfectly clear that riding is part of our lives, not to be messed with, should be very proud.  How about those idiots who say "I'd buy a bike but my wife won't "let" me"??!

LET me?

She had an ex-boyfriend (that she might have married) get killed on motorcycle yet she doesn't complain too much that I ride.  She didn't really like the sport bikes though.  She definitely likes it when I say that x bike is slower than y bike.
