T'were a luverly ride home tonight.  Just a bit of brisk in the clean, fresh air newly rinsed by huge rainstorms all afternoon.  As a side bonus, the bike got washed while sitting in the lot at work.   Lol  It was looking a bit nasty from the journey last weekend, what with all the bug guts and mud and all that.

Nice.  I did near 500 miles today playing phototag- a Michigan tour.  Saw some cool sights- from open green fields to swamps to nice sweepers through the woods.

I can tell I'm winter-out-of-shape though- I'm pretty beat.  A tasty Oberon at my side with a home brew faux Oberon on deck.  I can't give out too many clues on my route since it's the current tag...

Ed, very nice!!

I got out for an abbreviated day, wish I could have made it a full one.  I'd like to see that white one on the road someday.

I got out for about 4 hours this afternoon. Things are starting to green up a bit, and the willows are leafing out. The cows and horses looked happy.  Bigsmile

Sandy, Tom, Pete and myself wanted to do a lunch run yesterday, I think it was agreed upon "within 45 minutes" of Pete's house. Of course I get elected to lead Rolleyes so 2 hours and 45 minutes later we arrive in Williams Bay for lunch Lol Sorry I suck at leading Embarassment Thank the supreme being Tom took us back, a mere 55 minutes to Crystal Lake Bigsmile

Got out yesterday. First trackday of the year (for me). Had signed up a month ago and the forecast kept going back and forth between great and craptacular. Turned out to be craptacular. Never got above 58 degrees. Most of the day it hovered around 50, spitting rain, light wind.  This was supposed to be my break in ride for the Gixxer, ended up having issue after issue. First, lost a part early in the first session that made it unable to shift. Got the part back but missed the second session. Third session, still cold and a new rear tire and its slippery. Back end stepped out late in the session telling me I can't push it hard (wasn't pushing hard in the first place!).  Got a few decent sessions in, while fighting visor fogging. Someone gave me an anti-fog wipe thing which helped a LOT, and then the rain started coming down harder. I said to hell with it, packed up and went home. Took about 4 hours to feel the heat return to my core.

I did see 133 a few times on the speedo, and I wasn't pushing it hard. The gixxer sounds and feels good to me.

Took the 400 up to Diamond's, bright and early, then east to pick up a friend, cross the river at Hudson and back roads to Rock Falls Raceway.  235 miles, a nice warm up for tomorrow at the SC.  Videos were compressed on the upload.
