I know right there that is, but I probably won't make it there before someone else.

I've been out a lot, even down in that drop area, but forgot about it. Funny thing is, with the couple mild days we had, I saw a lot more pirates than anything else on the road. I have been doing some gigs with a 3rd band that is more harder classic rock. I don't really have any "rocker" garb to wear anymore, so I went down to Payne's leather to see if I could find a cheap vest (which I did, 18 bucks for a vest that would do little for road protection, but is fine for wearing on stage). There was a group of HD riders there, maybe 6-8. I pull up on the Connie with my day-glo yellow jacket and full face helmet, on my nice quiet bike, got off, gave them a nod, and they totally snubbed me. No acknowledgment, no return nod, nothing. It was pretty funny. I'm surprised they didn't knock my bike down or spit on the seat lol.

On my way home on that ride, a guy on a BMW pulled onto the road I was on, ahead of me. I was about 100yds behind him and he kept going faster and faster, and I figured I'd stay with him. He finally backed off when we got up to 100.

As far as the weather goes, I'll take it while it's here. You know that at some point it's going to get too cold and the snow will show up.

I saw quite a few pirates myself.  Got behind a group when I was on my way to work on Saturday. Four bikes, 3 pirates and and one sport bike (older Ninja I think). Of course, Sportbike was the only one with sense enought to wear a helmet.  For the few miles I was behind them, not once did they fall into a proper staggered riding formation and they rode way to bunched up.  Needless to say, at the first legal opportunity I pass said group.  It was when pulling onto Rt1. You could hear there bikes bellowing from their "safety pipes", but a small twist of the wrist was more than enough to propel the Bandit past them with authority.

There is something satisfying about doing that isn't there? I was behind some girl one day on Rt 9, and she was doing the whole pirate gear shift method- foot on highway peg, take it off, stomp on the heel shifter, put it back on the highway peg repeat til in 5th gear @ 40mph. I sat behind her for about a mile and at the 1st legal passing zone rolled on the throttle just a bit to go around here. I was probably an "asshole ricer" for passing her, but I wasn't in the mood to hear "brap brap brap" at 50mph for the next 10 miles.

It's even more fun when my wife is with me on her Vulcan and we blow by a pack of them, they don't like it much.

I know. I shouldn't even be on that forum anymore, it's for Suzuki Boulevards, 3 bikes ago for me. But there are a lot of good folks on there, half of us don't ride Bullys anymore but stuck around anyway.

Ah, there's a local girl here in State College that goes to quite a few Boulevard get togethers.  She still owns one but a BMW is her "everyday" bike these days.

How about if we do another R2E on March 11th to celebrate the return of Daylight Savings Time? Anyone interested?
