I think the reason the VIN on the title doesn't match the VIN on the bike is because....it's not the right title.

Didn't they used to sell for about $1500? A good one nowadays should be worth what, $300?

Hello,

I am selling my 2008 Hand built motorcycle / chopper. I built this bike personally with all new parts (the engine did have some run time on it when I received it) and went through all the Minnesota State licensing BS to get a legitimate title and state issued VIN number. It is titled as a "2008 Home Built Motorcycle" and I have a clean state issued Minnesota title. This is probably THE smoothest riding/driving motorcycle I have ever ridden. The 9ft wheelbase (roughly) along with it's automatic hydrostatic pump (transmission) and air ride suspension makes it have an absolutely "seamless" feel while riding it. The entire build process is completely documented with pictures, receipts, part numbers, correspondence with the state of Minnesota (licensing process), etc, etc. I have everything neatly assembled into one folder. If you want a bike that NOBODY else on earth has, this may be for you.

Basic specs:
3 cylinder, turbo diesel
Hydrostatic drive - completely automatic
Full power reverse
Single sided rear swingarm
Air ride rear suspension
300x16 rear tire
90/90-21 front tire
Avon Venom tires front and rear

Interested parties should send me an email for more information. What I have posted here is just a brief summary of the bike's specs.

Asking 13,500 - The parts to build this bike cost more than asking price.

Thanks!

At least he was thinking outside the box, that is not a run o' the mill chopper.

3 cylinder turbo diesel engine, auto transmission with reverse, etc.  and he built it himself, and he is only asking 13,500 for it instead of 30,000 like these other bozos who spent 50,000 on an assembly line looking custom.

for the right buyer, I think this a deal.  It is still however, NOT an investment.

I think he has done a remarkable job, assuming it all works as it should.  It's just a shame it was put into such an impractical chassis. And I suspect that the hydrostatic drive takes away a significant part of the turbo-diesel's efficiency.

Got to be higher than that. I just sold one nearly completely disassembled for $300. Which is still twice what I paid for it.

Everyone wants their first streetbike back again.

That's also why the Trail 70s go for big bucks. Older guys are looking to relive the past.

How did that get 0 bids?    Headscratch

I am selling this 1 of a kind Factory 2004 Honda Rune painted in Honda’s Pearl Yellow. Yes you read it correctly that is $250,000.00, not a misprint.

As the title says, "This is the ONLY Factory Painted Yellow 2004 Honda Rune in the WORLD." This was painted as a personal favor for a friend Ray Blank President of Honda Motorcycle USA. I have personal spoken to Mr. Blank about this bike and enjoy both the conversion about how it came to be the ONLY Yellow Rune in the world. I have had the great enjoyment of riding it, talking with everyone that is just fascinated by its beauty.

It is (Honda Rune)  by far the most fun bike not only to ride, but most of all, people anywhere stop to look at it and talk with you about it. The Pearl Yellow color just sets the Rune apart from any other Rune bike, including custom bikes. Just remember it's the ONLY factory painted Honda Pearl Yellow Rune in the world. It is not only BRIGHT, but a bike that has power and a joy to ride.

This bike comes with the original seat, a Corbin leather seat, Rivco Highway bar, WindVest windshield, the original letter from Ray Blank of Honda in a black frame. The FedEx package the letter came in.

This bike will only climb in value over the year, because Honda made less the 5,000 of these bike for the world. This is the ONLY one Factory painted Pearl Yellow Rune, painted at R&D Head Quarters, Torrance, California.

Only email me with question "IF" you are going to be interested in buying this bike." All others will be deleted, I'm am not interested in anyone's opinion or if I am out of range for price.
It's mine free and clear, no more said.

If you would like to talk with me about the bike. I can be reached via email or call me @ 315-778-2166.

This is the ONLY one Factory painted Pearl Yellow Rune, painted at R&D Head Quarters, Torrance, California.

Factory is in Marysville, Ohio. Paint was done in Torrance, California.

Unless I flunked geography badly, I'd venture that bike was NOT painted at the factory.  Twofinger

Unless they moved the production line to the R&D department.  Lol

Oh, and it was a press pool bike, which means it was mercilessly flogged by motojournalists and Honda test riders from zero miles on the odometer, and performance tested several times.

Those are Dog Miles on the bike. Every 1 is worth 7.  Razz

If such a paintjob really tickled your fancy, and you were blown away that it's the "only yellow one", I'd say that would be worth about 1000-1500 bucks over market, to a very keen and motivated buyer.

Yeah - but you forget - he has the framed letter and the FedEx box it came in.  That's worth big bucks.

Also - you need to add for the fact that it has a lot of power and people talk to you about it.  Come on people.

Seriously though - after 190 pages of bullshit, I think that ad might take the cake.

Nice find.
