I'm sad no one grabbed a pic of it. It's gone now.
Nothing to miss - it didn't look impressive. Hack off the front end of a bike - keep the motor/trans/rear wheel. Weld up a hack-looking frame with two wheels on the front with a seat and steering wheel. Take poor photos of it in a semi-dark garage.
It was a three-wheeler - two front, MC rear wheel drive, IIRC.
Now, if it was something at least a bit more like a true home made unit...

The GL1100 will get 45 MPG...This is your answer to $5 gallon gas this summer !
Drove the bike about 500 miles last summer. Everything on bike has been rebuilt to like new or is new. New 350 watt RMstator, spin on oil filter upgrade, OEM water pump, wheel bearings front and rear, clutch, Dunlop Elite 2 tires, Harley Ultra-glide exhaust, carbs rebuilt and sync'd, valves lapped, new head gaskets, timing belts, rear air shocks rebuilt and LOTs of chrome. I tore this bike down to the frame. It's my 3rd GL1100 in 15 years so I know what I am doing when it comes to this model. Original exhaust also come with this bike as does extra radios, CB, and alot more. Parting out you could double your money easy.
When I got it the motor had a valve punched through one of the pistons. Most likely from a broken timing belt. My '82 parts bike with 86000 miles became the motor donor. Once I installed it and started it I found the motor has a knock and oil pressure is weak but it's not the oil pump so I suspect a bad bearing on a connecting rod journal. Still needs radios put back in fairing.
Come hear it run and ride before you buy. Motors are available on ebay cheap but the '83 I pulled can easily be fixed as I already bought new pistons off e-bay. Makes a great winter project. My loss is your gain. Lots of time and $$$$ invested but can be yours for $1100. NO lowball offers or joyriders. Ad will run till early March... then I go back to work on her and will keep it. So don't drag your feet on this one. Great bike at an honest price. Call Craig @ 816-797-1959

I'm thinkin $1100 is a fair price for an 83 GL1100 that actually runs and you could ride it home.

As long as riding it home is only a couple blocks away. With a rod knocking and low oil pressure I wouldn't be going very far.

With the motor exercise ahead, $500.

True 'dat. The work is simple. Engines are about $400 for a nice one, and they're very available. $50 in misc consumables.
I still stand by $500. But the seller has to start somewhere, I guess.

Classic!!!
I think a Rebel 250 has 9 wires, or so. Unless it still has the proper license plate light. Then it's 10.
