Nice bike. Dude is whack though.

Another one of those guys that figures if he buys a new car for $20,000, takes it home and changes the oil, suddenly it's worth $20,025

From the ad "The history of this RARE motorcycle is part of Harley-Davidson's success in Canada."

Whomever wrote this doesn't know the history of Buell.   This bike was made in 1989. It wasn't till 1993 that Harley Davidson bought 49% of Buell .  In 1998 they bought the a majority share in the company and we all know how well that worked out.

So this bike had nothing to do with Harley-Davidson's success in Canada or anywhere else.

I think they were referring more to the man, Trev Deeley, and his having a lot to do with the success of HD in Canada, and the Buell (being Harley powered) sort of fitting in there somewhere.

Read a bit about the man here: http://trevdeeley.com/home/about-us/history-trev-deeley-motorcycles

Are you referring to the addition of a power commander to carbed bike?  Lol

I completely missed that and was very confused.  I admittedly don't know a lot about the tech of older sport bikes so I just assumed it was FI and couldn't figure out why that ad was posted here.  I guess if I had read closer I would have seen that it has a 'Jet Kit' listed as an add on under the service at 200 miles.

I called him out on it too we will see what he has to say on the matter. Maybe a power commander is like racing stripes, just having them on/in the bike adds 150 hp.  Lol

I have for sale or trade (prefer another street legal motorcycle) a 2001 GSXR that has been customized. It runs good. Front tire is in really good shape, rear tire is getting thin but will last for a while. The seat is leather off an old sadle. I have a clean and clear title in hand. I do not have to sell, so no low ball offers and if your trade is not equal in value plan to have some cash or something else to add to the trade. If you have any questions feel free to (text only) me at 620-212-2983.

Seeing as how the local dealers have offered new GS500's for $5K or so, I'm thinking our boy may have this one for a while...
