I hope he sells this bike and then never touches another motorcycle again. This is motorcycle abuse plain and simple, strip his M endorsement, ban him from fiberglass, plywood, and rattle can purchases, break out the tar and feathers, pitchforks, torches, etc. etc., etc

An update!
Economic reality has started to sink in with our hero. I especially like that the ad reads "$3999 FIRM" but the subject line is $3500.

And yet someone bought it at the BIN price. Is scrap metal that valuable now?
Quote from: 919 on July 03, 2012, 03:19:19 AM
Nope re-listed starting at $500 with the BIN at $995 again..... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=261058391834#ht_500wt_879

GS500F is on my list of "possible" bikes. I saw that ad and was VERY confused. Some people have no concept of what their bikes are worth.

And tehcnically oil is a liquid...
Except that one time when I helped my buddy change the oil in his transmission. That was more like the consistency of peanut butter...

Yep a bit on the overpriced side, although there is someone out there with enough $$$ who just wants to relive their youth with "the bike" they had as a kid.
A guy down the way bought a 74 750/4 for $8k
