As most of us know Andermatt Switzerland is almost as much a motorcycling destination as the Isle of Man. I've ridden through it but now it's my turn. I'm staying there and doing it right...but where should I stay?

The place is nothing if not full of hotels:

I stayed at a rather modern looking place at the east end of town, just at the foot (and then north) of the descending curve that enters the town on that side.  Andermatt is not a very large town, so I don't know that you can go wrong with any of them.

Here's the link for the hotel I stayed at: http://www.monopol-andermatt.ch/start_e.html

I can recommend this hotel:

Owners were nice and friendly. Rooms were comfortable and clean and they have secure bike parking.

For some more details of why we went there go to our website which is in my signature.

Wouldn't it be nice if web sites posted room rates.  Headscratch

+1

I stayed there in July last year.  Pricey, but so is everything in Switzerland.  'Net access, ATM across the street, walking distance to very good eats, beer & other riders.

Wife and I stayed here for several days 2 diffferent times in summer of 2005 and loved it.  They have locked underground garage storage for MCs and excellent food and service.  The bosses wife is also a "Babe"!

I stayed here for 2 nights with Edelweiss. Fabulous accomodations and great food. Don't forget to pick up a "Kill Heidi" t-shirt. Bigsmile

Gafthaus Sternen and just over the bridge on the main street. Owned by David Shani and has the best restaurant in town. 35 Euros including breakfast in 2006.

It was recommended by a Swiss lassie I met on the Rosyth ferry and she was spot on. Sternen personnel were excellent, all the locals dine there and the price was perfect.
