Well, dammit. Hoveman had an unexpected emergency. I ended up frying my phone right after. Long story short, we missed the hand off. Is there anyone else in the vicinity of Williamsburg, VA who can take this guy travelling?

If not, I will be back in Bakersfield on Wednesday the 24th, then in Vegas on Friday. I'll be riding from Bakersfield to Vegas in the morning, so I can hand him off on either end or along the way.

Flying or ride? 'cause the C-man don't do planes, yo.  Cool

I'm leaving on the 27th now - any way to get him north?

I wish... I'm going to be harder to meet with than UFO. I'm stuck in the near vicinity of Williamsburg until I fly out early Tuesday. I'm the designated Command Duty Officer and the last guy to leave from my battallion to go home.

It would be nice if you could make it happen.  I'm sure Chili would love to tour in Atlantic Canada although it can get a little chilly in September.   Smile

Seriously... anybody?

Chili and I rode out to the Jamestown Settlement yesterday. We're about to head out to Yorktown. If I can get cleared to leave the area for a few hours, we might make a dash over to the Richmond Battlefield National Park for a few quick photos, since I have to drop some of my sailors off at the Richmond airport to catch flights home this evening.

I'm having a bear of a time downloading photos, so they will follow shortly.

If I had the time, I'd buzz up there and snag the little guy. Work has this crazy idea that I should be here if I expect to be paid.  Lol

Uh, have I not been vocal about asking for a recipient? I think I have a late- season cross country plan if no one Rogers up. Last chance before I take him to DC again. Anyone going to Pinks in Hollywood on the 19th for the Bite the Weenie RTE?

Actually, there was a year in between...

I seem to have a hell of a time with this, as no one wants to stop by Bakersfield, but following the Iron Butt, I have to slave away in the salt mines to make up for taking the three weeks off.  I feel bad, but I need someone to answer up for a hand off. There's GOT to be someone in Southern/ Central Cali or Vegas ready to take the poor guy.

I'll take him back east on the 13th.  PM me for details on how we can do the handoff.  I'm at the Queen Mary now, heard out on a cruise later today.  Bet Chili would enjoy a week at sea, if you can get down here by noon.
