I thought about it, but the driveway and road by me are still pretty nasty. Should be good by the end of today, though.
Hoping to ride in tomorrow.

Yesterday and today. And tomorrow, unless I pedal to work. And next week, and the week after... Its the start of motorcycle season for me, which means the wife gets a car again.
Yesterday was a bit chilly on the way in. I need to find better cold weather gloves, as the JR ones I'm using constrict my fingers a bit too much and my normal leather gloves have vents in the fingers.

I rode in. Probably tomorrow also. The frequency of riding to work will definitely be increasing rather rapidly.

I'm in tomorrow for sure. I still need to do a short post maintenance ride before committing to the commute. It's going to be a sad drive home today with the widows open especially if I see another bike on the rode. At least I have something to look forward this evening.

I live too close... it was over in seconds. ('that's what she said')
It was nice to ride again. I lost some of my touch over the winter, I will say that.

Definitely not jetted for cold weather, but its here!
Rather, I think the thermostat is opening too early, which won't let the engine get warm. once warm, she screams!

I rode Burgertime to the train station this morning and let my wife sleep in. (instead of dropping me)
We put probably 40 miles on the FJR last night. The roads were kind of greasy; half wet, and half oily. Be careful until we get a few good rains.
Here's a tip on riding gloves on the cheap. I bought a pair of thin, black leather hunting gloves. They're insulated with Thinsulate, and they work a lot better than just thick leather gloves. They're actually just as warm as the big, puffy ski gloves I had been using previously. They also don't rob as much manual dexterity.
I'm sure they're not as nice as proper cold weather riding gloves, but for $20, I can't complain.

There's more salt per square inch on the roads than there is in a bag o' chips. Bleah. After the flash floods this weekend the roads should be all nice for ridin'.

I had to wash off the salt when I got home. But the ride was well worth it

I was more worried about the slipperyness when combined with the heavy mist we had.
After today, there's no chance of salt again unless we get another snowstorm.
