For those interested in the suit but waiting for some more reviews before pulling the trigger, Outcast Cycles Magazine http://www.outcastcycles.com will have a full review in the upcoming issue that ships 5/6/2009. I've logged about 600 miles in the suit to date and will be attempting a SS1000 next week in the suit. If that doesn't put a suit through it's paces I don't know what will.

No way I would tie up a few hundred bucks for near three months on speculation that this suit A) Actually ships on time/ever and B) Has the quality it claims to have.

Shame, I need a mesh suit, but I'm not willing to risk/wait the three months for it.  I think they need to step up and get some inventory on hand.

Agreed. Make them available. There is a definite market/need. They will sell if good. Get them out there, let people comment + review the product.
If favorable, then I'd definitely buy. Not until then. Better hurry before folks in the market like me decide on an Olympia or spring for a 'Stich.

I've been looking at the Olympia Phantom Hi Viz and Aerostich Hi-Viz yellow (I see stich had a recall but the newer ones should be good to go).
I rather like the features of this new brand but don't want to wait so long for reviews and product.

Hopefully, this is just a slow and safe process to ensure great quality and so forth due to it being a new/upstart company - I can appreciate that.
I'm trying to be patient but have some trips planned and may have to cut the cord on one of the others.

Hello folks,

The Version 1.0 of the suit will incorporate the following updates based on the feedback we have received and further testing of the suits:

a)   The hydration pack pocket on the back has been redesigned  and looks a lot neater
b)   The shin armor has been upgraded to CE approved shin armor
c)   The knee armor is now adjustable
d)   Increase in torso and inseam lengths for all sizes
e)   Overall improvement in build quality

In the next few weeks we expect the following magazines/sites to post reviews:

•   Webbikeworld.com
•   Urban Moto
•   BMW Owner News
•   Road Bike Magazine
•   American Motorcyclist
•   Motorcycle Riders Club of America
•   Outcast Cycles Magazine

Outcast Cycles (www.outcastcycles.com) is a new magazine focusing on motorcycles from less-common brands.

Please remember that April 30th is the last day to order if you want to receive a suit by June 30th. If we are able to complete your order earlier, we will ship it out as soon as possible. Keep in mind that we can ship internationally if your order over the phone.

Those who have ordered for a May 31st shipping date, your orders are coming along nicely and will be shipped on time.

Thanks,
Ghazi Farooq

Plus One!

Folks, we fully understand your perspective. We are trying to have more suits in stock at all times. We have ensured that even after we have shipped out all the pre-orders for May, we will have some suits left over. Hopefully, you will find your size/color requirements in those.

Thanks

How to use the size chart.

All the measurements listed in the chart are of the rider’s body, not of the suit.
Based on those measurements, the suit size will be such that it can accommodate the rider comfortably.

For example, the size Large lists a torso length of 30”. The suit itself will be longer than 30” to make sure you are comfortable.

So what does the increase in length mentioned in the newsletter mean? Originally, the suit was approx 31” in the torso for a rider that measured 30”. Now, the suit will be approx 32” to ensure slightly more comfortable fit.

The inseam of the suit too, is now approx 2” longer than the inseam listed on the chart. This ensures that the suit is long enough when the pants rise in the riding position.

So, in summary, please remember that the measurements in the chart are of the rider.
Please let me know if there are any confusions

+1 these suits seem to have well thought out features at an attractive price.  If they pan out, this is a boon for all riders considering a Stich or Olymipia.  I am glad he is here to promote his product and answer our questions/concerns.

+ another 1. A vendor who is willing to engage the community and take real feedback should be encouraged to do so. It's not like the guy posted one "for sale" link and then disappeared. He's been very responsive to the questions and concerns that have been popsted here. That's a good thing as far as I'm concerned.

Those were my thoughts as well...I was encouraged by a vendor willing to engage folks to find out what we really want.  Then again, we seem to want everything all while paying nothing (slight exaggeration).

Cheers,

I definately like the fact that questions are answered. SPAM would have been "Here is what I want to say" and no feedback after. I like the looks, just don't know if a one-piece is what I want. But if there was a leather sport-version and the textile (or mesh) for the commute...hmm. Maybe I just solved my own dillema?

When someone joins a forum and their only posts are about their products it is spam.  He should be paying some advertising fees.

If you look back on the start of the Thread, He did not start the thread, only came in later and answered questions and responded, ( Very Well) . Feed back from the Forum is being incorporated into the suits design.

I think any Vendor who actively listens to the Customers should be encouraged to participate in the forum discussions.

At least they are contributing Positively.  Lol

JMHO>Leave the guy alone. He's on here trying to get feedback from the group and feel us out for what we want, potentially making
changes for the better to the product. When's the last time you saw or heard Goldfine or Motoport on a forum asking us what we want to see on
his product?? Doesn't happen. I'm happy to see a manufacturer show some support and concern for his potential consumer base and address
our real-world needs.
