I've been using a Fieldsheer Highland Suit all winter here in So Cal, it has been perfect, comfortable, warm, dry, no broken zips all good but it is now starting to warm up here and the Fieldsheer is a bit too warm. I am planning to buy an Olympia Stealth but looking at the spec and color choices this mesh suit might be worth considering, tough to order an unknown brand though...

I'm with you... I like the idea of one-piece suits for commuting, etc. I told Aerostich when I had my RoadCrafter, several times, that if they made a Mesh suit, I'd be all over it... This might fit the bill.

they are either waterproof, or they're not..
You could look at this two ways:
1/ They are being upfront and honest by stating they are not fully waterproof.

or:

b/ The suits leak like a sieve and as they have alluded to this on their website, any warranty claims re. leakage can be refused on such grounds.

I think the apropriate thing to do is first define the conditions. Would any of the other manufacturers refund money if a customer rode in a heavy shower for eight hours because there suit was advertised as waterproof? I think the customer should know the extent of wet conditions the suits are capable of.

Our suit is not intended as a replacement for a full rain suit. Yet it can handle wet conditions because it has a wateproof liner and cordura itself is waterproof. If the water seeps in through the seams, it hits the waterproof liner. Please read our waterproof page on our website for more details on this. However, despite having the liner, there is no guarantee that water can not seep through if you plan to brave it through a storm. Such a guarantee or claim of being 100% percent (ONE HUNDREDS PERCENT) would be preposterous. Meaning that the vendor is claiming that THERE IS NO POSSIBLE WAY THAT A SINGLE DROP OF WATER CAN COME ONTO THE RIDER REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE RIDER IS UPTO. that is what 100% means to me, and i can not make such a heavy claim.

Does this mean that the suit is not waterproof? No. It means that the suit can handle wet conditions up to a certain level.
Hope this helps and clarifies a bit further. Keep the questions coming.

check the size chart
www.teizms.com/sizechart

the neck-crotch measurement is very important. in your case the in-seam would play a role as well. so cant really say till i know the rest of the measurements.

return policy is listed here:

i'll be interested when the orange and yellow become available.  also, i did not see any mention of leg zippers.  there should be  a zipper from the waist to the ankle on the outside of each leg.  also I did not see laundry issues addressed.  how do you clean it?

ok....i read all the post over at adventure rider and thoroughly examined the website for these suits.  I see there is a zipper from nneck to left ankle and the other leg from crotch to ankle.  now i'm waiting on feedback for the hi-viz

Is the knee armor position adjustable? I don't mind the legs being long for me, as long as I can move the knee armor up some. This is a HUGE problem in my current FieldSheer riding pants. The knee armor is all but useless for me.

I have shorter legs.

kthx.

Would help if the sizing charts were linked to from the page showing the suits themselves.

Also, any chance of a Tall size being offered?  I'm 6'4" and 230lbs.  Don't see anything on the size chart that would fit my measurements.

Is there an adjustment on the waist to tighten it up?

The only size that looks like it MIGHT fit is the 3XL US size but the chest only goes to 50" and the waist is MAX at 44"

I have a 54" chest and always trying to grow - and 36" waist (most of the time - sometimes I get a bit fatter!) LOL!!

Shoulder width is also a huge problem with most jackets/suits.
Lastly what about upper arm room?
Will the suit accomodate a 20" + size arm?

Like others I am too short for my weight at 5'11" and 270+ pounds, though I think it may be distributed a bit different...

Thank you -
Sal

EDIT:
***Just saw the note about the waist is highly adjustable.. Still concerned about chest, shoulders and arms...

The pull tabs make the suit highly adjustable at the waist. The waist listed is the maximum at which the rider will be very comfortable and can still layer up. Smaller waists will be easily accommodated by pulling the waist belts (which reduces the waistline by several inches when pulled all the way).

I actually do appreciate your remarks and they do make sense.
The mesh suit sounds good to me for commuting.  I take the car if it's raining.  Wink

Looks like the knee armor doesn't have a lot of adjustment room - this may be something they could make a small change too??

This page shows a lot of close ups.

I'm in for trying one when the Hi-Vis Yellow becomes available!!
Then I could get my Hi-Vis Yellow Scorpion helmet and look like a walking caution sign.

I hear ya!
I've contacted Z's Custom in CA for custom work.
That will likely be the avenue I go with - but it wouldn't be bad having an alternate option as well.

The worst part is my weight can change by as much as 30-50 pounds in a matter of months - Heck one time it dropped 73 pounds in 3 1/2 months!!!
And a custom suit can't fit all those scenarios - so an adjustable one for the "middle of the road" would be a good option when the other suit simply won't fit well enough.

Now let's be honest here...there is no such thing as extra tubby.
"Proportionally Challenged" - Sure
"A Extra Layer Of Insulation" - OK

But never are we to refer to ourselves as extra tubby!
