Actually, I believe that makes him a fuck head.

Hmmm. I'm going to have to give that some thought. There is some merit to your words, sir.

Yo, I'm the so-called douche leader yellojakit!!!

If you didn't stay with the group, as the ride leader, then I guess the title fits.

Hey, doosh- Let me give you a little background on your latest little spanking. Frzy is one of Region 4's most responsible members, and highly regarded. He has led many rides, far more than I could count but all memorable. He has the skills and capabilities to out ride the great majority of us and yet he doesn't.

Why is that? Simple- Because he's responsible and pays attention to those he is leading.

It just occurred to me- Explaining this to the likes of you is probably akin to beating a dog a week after it craps in the house.

They just dont get it.

Oh and while I dont hold any prejudice towards BMW riders, you're doing little to dispel the stereotype.

You ride solo because you missed the turn and spent the next 2 hours looking for it while the rest of the group stayed together!!!   rofl

I know you're not talking about me as I wasnt bashing BMWs or their riders. I know far too many cool ones and avoid the miniscule amount that do fit the stereotype.

Also, he never had the chance to lose me as I have never ridden (Nor will I ever) ride with him. Obviously he was so full of himself and his superior riding skills that he never actually noticed who really was behind him.

Riding with a new group sure can make one homesick for the regular guys. Thumbsup

Quite your philandering ways and come on back Sling, we will forgive you.

I might ditch Joey and let him walk to the auto zone, but at least you all know what to expect when I get lost and have to lead... Lol Lol

Leading has a code of ethics(at least the riders I ride with do). Never leave a stop sign(best to wait after the tun to make sure they are all there) or make a turn off with out making sure everyone is in sight. I learned this from snowmobiling years ago. I ride by those rules as a common courtesy. I learned my lesson the hard way. Plenty of grief. Lol

So, this thread started out as something funny and has gone to calling people names, disrespecting each other, insults, etc.

I ride or have ridden with most of the people on this thread and find it NOT so funny any more.

I was on this ride from Fox Lake/BP/McDonalds to Black Coffee and split to head home by myself.  It was far more enjoyable than having to deal with the drama of the 'group' ride that continued.

Here is my take on the whole thing IMHO:

You have a responsibility as a rider to 1.  Ride your ride, 2. Prepare yourself and your motorcycle to the best of your ability, 3.  Know your bike well enough to not trust your fuel gauge and fuel up when you have the opportunity whether you need it or not.

Clearly there are different riding styles and Yellowjkt likes to ride hard and fast.  I've ridden 1000s of miles without incident or him leaving a group as the leader.  You won't find someone who cares more if everyone is OK while riding and finding the ride enjoyable.  He will go out of his way to help you out if you run into problems.  I've ridden with a lot of guys that lead rides and weren't as caring or nice.

When he realized what happened to MacGyver and Yoshi, he went to get fuel and bring it back to them.  He didn't realize that the house they stopped in front of would help out.  You guys making comments are missing some of the facts.

Remember - there are three sides to every story, his side, her side and somewhere in the middle is the truth...

MacGyver - it was our first time riding together and you handled that little 800 very well 2-up.  That being said, you clearly weren't as well prepared as your TV character was.  You should have had your own GPS or map, so if you didn't like Yellowjkt's riding style you could have left the group.  I've had to do that before when the riders I was with were consuming far too much alcohol at lunch and it made me feel unsafe.  Some of the others that weren't happy with his style may have left with you - others would have stayed with him because they were enjoying the pace or route.  That's pretty normal group dynamics.

You should have filled up with fuel when you had ample opportunities to do so - at least 2 while I rode with you.  I understand that it wasn't your bike and you trusted the fuel gauge.  That was your mistake and you shouldn't blame or flame others for your own mistake.

Next time you are in this situation, man up and say something to the person who is frustrating you so you can settle it right there at the time.  Don't walk away, stew about it for a couple days and then post a flame about the guy when you clearly didn't ride your ride or pass up fuel opps.  You have some ownership of the mistakes made here.

The others calling Yellowjkt names that weren't even on the ride - Thunder7 and RMarkus.  You guys are like a mob mentality.  Next time you should pour fuel in your tanks instead of on a forum like this to 'defend' someone that clearly didn't do some basic things that you need to when out riding in a group.

Thunder7 - you and I have ridden a couple of rides together and you are acting like my 12 YO son.  Doosh?  C'mon just try to act a little more grown up than that.

Now, can't we all just get along?

Final words (like Jerry Springer).  I'm not defending anyone, anyone on the ride could have done something different.  Nor am I trying to insult or disrespect anyone.  If I said it here, I would say it to your face.  Hopefully, everyone that was part of this ride will learn something from it and not repeat the same actions again.  If you weren't part of the ride, sit back and enjoy the banter, but to insult or disrespect someone on a public forum is cowardly-especially if you don't have all the facts and only one side of the story.

Kind regards,
LIP

Ok, not gonna rehash the situation.. just wanted to add my .01 cent in(sorry, economy is tough these days)  Lol Most of you don't know Jellojakit nor ridden with him.  I will tell you that he is on my top 3 list of people I like to ride with!  He is never doing something stupid(ok, please refrain from comments Twofinger), and is always putting safety first.  Plus, he is almost never lost(Yosh, Rick)(I'm gonna get flamed about this one, ain't I)  When the ride is done, it's great to have a beer  Beerchug with him and shoot the shit.  So, if any of you still need to flame some more.. here you go.  I'm the best rider on this frigen forum and most of you couldn't keep up with me  Twofinger ok, enough said... so bring it on!!!
