Hello friends - do any of you use a throttle lock?  I'm toying with the idea, but would prefer to spend as little as possible (of course).  What do you use?  Throttlemeister?  Other?

Any help would be appreciated.

I came up with a way to put one of the Vista Cruise Universal locks on my 2005 ST3.  As it comes it won't work.  It took some thinking but I came up with a way to attach it and have it work properly.  I'll try to remember to get a pic or two tonight.

I have an 05 with just about 60K on it, I use a throttle rocker, no throttle lock. ST2sam jury rigged one when he had his ST3, might want to contact him. I don't ride the interstate all that much to warrant the use of one.

Throttlemeister on ST4s.  Love the set-up.  Very stealthy.

Ok...this is a serious question regarding throttle locks, so please don't laugh.   Embarassment

Has anyone tried using a simple o-ring to hold the throttle?  I've got a Throttlemeister on my FJR, but I'd like to put throttle locks on my other bikes and well, it can get a bit pricey when you're feeding a family of four bikes...

Cheers,

Joe

PS.  I'm also looking forward to seeing the pics of the Vista Cruise lock.

It's a Vista cruise that I modified with a small L shaped bracket bought at Lowes. I have it on my C14 now, it's the third bike it's been on and works great. It cost all of $20.00 and IMO works better than a throttle miester, just flip it on or off using your thumb. Thumbsup

Yes, some people have. I remembered something like that being a bit of a fad with Honda ST riders.  A quick search on "o-ring throttle lock" found this FAQ:   http://faq.f650.com/FAQs/ThrottleRockerFAQ.htm#Caterpillar

+1 on the Throttlemeister.  This also doubles as a weighted bar end and helps reduce the vibration transmitted into your hands.

I've never had a problem with my Tigers taking craps, but hey, if you need to bust it, then go for it...
