Love the 999!  Most people prefer the 748/916/996/998 but I like the 749/999 better.

 kind of 1/2 AND 1/2....
got new side panels, and painted the rest too... tank, tail and front mguard...
it was about time, (puttit off for too long, those sides were sad), i'll get a sticker set nxt..

Previous owner had it stripped down and painted the frame, body work and wheels, and powdercoated all the aluminum bits black.

It is removable...I had just come back from a ride with my 8 y.o., and he feels much more "secure" with it installed. And what looks worse is the hideous stock turn signals...I gotta hack those things off. Smile
