I've already ridden 3777 miles on the way to the National.  About 550 to go.

You should have gone a little more out of the way. You know, a scenic route or something.

I made it!  low sided once in KY bu it was a great ride & 1st trip to CO.  For some reason I only booked my room for Tue & Wed nights so I'm at the KOA for tonight.  I will swing by the Gunnison Inn later on & see if anyone is around.  It was dead the first time I was by there.  I have no idea what the local time is.  What time zone is it?  If anyone is thinking about getting some dinner post up,I'm tired of eating by myself people keep looking at me funny.  You would think I was the first person to ever cross MO or KS with a sport bike.  I didn't see another sport or sport touring bike until I got into CO.

Five hours of rain across north Missouri this morning, then rain and tornado warnings with hail the last hour into Garden City.  Thank goodness this bike will cruise at 110 between storm cells.

Looks like the route to Gunnison via Trinidad and Monte Vista may be nice tomorrow-- no rain forecast.  And something other than flat land for a change.

I'm in Estes Park, CO tonight.  I should have a nice 250 mile ride south through the mountains to Gunnison tomorrow.  I should be there in the afternoon sometime.  It depends on how cold it is here in the morning and therefore how early I leave.  I'm very glad I brought my heated gear.

I got a late start today and am on the NV/UT border in a cheap motel on HY 50.

Should be in Gunnison late afternoon depending on how late I sleep in.

On a side line I found that holding a constant speed of 100 MPH will only get 156 miles till the low fuel light comes on, Figured the GS would have gotten better millage than that Bigsmile Although it gets much better at 70 MPH  Rolleyes

Well, you all have fun.  I was totally confused by the dates, and had thought that everyone was going to be there last week!  Lucky we didn't go searching  Lol
We are back home now after 11 states in 16 days.  Stupid work, I need a vacation already.
Hope the weather holds for y'all.  We wish we could be(er) there.
