OK - bought a compression gauge - ~70PSI per cylinder at a regular starting crank.

Manual calls for 139-213PSI @ 400rpm.

 Headscratch

I've never had a compression problem - any ideas?

I think we need to know more, so as to allow us EOE to feck you around from a great distance. Or even be useful. (this is where BLS would be able to help).

Changed the oil today and then put 250 miles on it to make sure the oil was well circulated.

Measured the tread depth.  6 mm before our trip through PA, MD, WV, VA, TN, and NC; 3 mm after.  Guess I'll be changing another rear tire after the Region 6 Camp Out!   Bigok

Installed a new GPS cradle after the second RAM cradle in six month broke last week.
Installed one of these - http://www.adaptivtechnologies.com/tpx-adaptive-store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=207

No road test yet, but seems to grip the GPS pretty firmly.

I like RAM products, but I feel the RAM cradle for the Garmin Nuvi has a design flaw.

I've used my Garmin Cradle with a Nuvi for a couple of years with no issues.

Yea, different cradle. I have used the crap out of the RAM cradle for my old Street Pilot for years with no problems.  I believe it is just the way the one for the 1690 is built that causes it to break after repeated use.

Been wanting to make these changes for a while so today I ripped into her.  Bigok

1) Painted the top part of the side covers flat black. I figured it would make the nose of the V less obtrusive. V is a little more sexy now. In fact I think it looks OEM and the V should have come this way. Inlove

2) Replaced plastic push pins with real bolts and nuts on the instrument cluster surround. I also put a small screw through the front mounting tab. All buzzing is now gone!!   WOOT!  Bigok

3) Did the seat plate mod. With this mod and my foam removal that I did a year back this seat may be the most comfortable seat I have sat on in over 30 years of riding. Best part is it cost less than $1.  Bigsmile
