I bought a new battery for the Versys, the OEM is now 5 years old, isn't worth chancing on a long trip

Nice Union Jack paint.   Bigok

I changed the stator cover on the track bike.  I did a pretty good job filing down the current one.   Embarassment

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c132/doog71/7c6d729d.jpg

When placing the new one in position, I had ALL but ONE of my digits out of the way before the magnetic pull kicked in.   Lol  My pinky is still a little sore.

Next, Servicerifle stopped by to change the tires on his GS.  So that I remember the correct position of the blocks for my next tire change, I took a photo.   Wink

What brand of tire changer is that? I've been looking into getting one for myself.

It's the NoMar brand.

Servicerifle told me he's used both this one and the one you can get at Harbor Freight and prefers the NoMar.  I have no experience on anything but the NoMar.

Though, I believe the best part about the NoMar is the tire bar which you can always acquire separately.  That said, I just acquired The Yellow Thingie this year and it's been a most excellent addition to the tire changing process.

My yellow thingie is a small block of wood.  I guess I could paint it yellow.

That mightily sucks. I hope there was earthy, ripe and creative profanity.
I'm sure it happened because it's April. I've had more tire screws/nails during April than any other month. One year I had three.

Stupid April.

It's the NoMar brand.

You girls are spoiled. My buddy and I horse 'em on with the HBF deal. He did break down and order the good bar though, after I busted balls about it. I'm like dude you gotta get one of these Mojo levers....... Lol

That thing does make life easier without a doubt.

I have seen the Nomar changers and they look like they're pretty well thought out and nicely designed.

Did I do the 'spostophes right?? Or does kommas??

Bike cleaned, serviced. Just a couple of minor niggly bits to fix and it is ready for sale. The weather here is awful and I daren't ruin the high stare of cleanliness and polish. So my last ride on it was yesterday.

Put the first 100 miles on the new GSXR 1000, took the V-Strom tires to the Suzuki shop to get changed, I should get a tire changer.
