You do realize you're getting rid of probably the most complete track bike ever. If I had cash laying around I'd be all over that. Of course if I had cash laying around I'd have Super Tenere.  Bigsmile

Picked up my new Tiger yesterday.  Today I constructed the new paddock stand for the Gladius and borrowed the swingarm spools for the Tiger so that I could get the Tiger center stand installed.  I had to remove the side stand to do that.

I ran to the hardware store for stainless steel hardware to mount a RAM ball in front of the clocks.  This places the GPS up nice and high.  Then my son with his small hands helped me run the wiring.  I put on my Powerlet Termin8 to tie it in.

Finally I got a RAM u-bolt onto the handlebar for my iPhone.  No need to install power for that as the bike came with a Powerlet outlet right beside the ignition key.

Busy evening!  Next up are the topbox plate & adapters which are in the mail.  Then to run it in another 400 miles before the break in service on Tuesday.

Flushed front and rear brake fluid, adjusted front brake lever.  It's always amazing to me how much the brakes had degraded over time.

During the shake down ride afterwards I came to threshold braking on the front WAY before I was ready for it.   EEK!  Slight pucker moment, but after a few more braking practice runs I was able to smooth out my technique again.

Got the right hardware for my SW Motech steel plate to mount my Givi.  Now I'm waiting for the 500 mile break in service to be done at Hermys.  It's raining good.

This guy just pulled in.  He had hit a deer at 50 mph!  Doh!

The original owner or OO did some half assed install for his Garmin Ram mount.  He drilled holes in the battery cover which sits on top and in front of the gas tank.  Not only is it not a stable location for the Ram mount, it's hideous looking and not centered.

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c132/doog71/BMW%20K1200S/DSCN2922.jpg

So, I ordered a new one to replace it.  I upgrade to the Italian Chrome version (carbon fiber).   Bigsmile

http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c132/doog71/BMW%20K1200S/DSCN2923.jpg

While the battery cover was off, I took a multimeter to the batter and noted the following:  12.6 volts resting.  12.2 volts with key on and not running.  13.5 volts with bike running.  Lowest measurement during start was 10.1 volts.

The battery is in good shape and ready for my road trip next week.   Bigok

As you can see in the image above, I also installed a Bags-Connection QUICK-LOCK EVO Bottom gas tank ring for my tank bags.  Because I had the old quick lock on my Bags-Connection Bags, I upgraded the top rings to the second generation version (i.e. EVO) on both tank bags.

Out with the old

In with the new

The KTM got some love this evening too with a new windscreen.

It's shorter than the stock one.

And, it has a lip on the top to help with air flow.

The air flow is SO much cleaner than the stock screen.  I don't get buffeting anymore.   Banana
