Because I had the old quick lock on my Bags-Connection Bags, I upgraded the top rings to the second generation version (i.e. EVO) on both tank bags.

Doug, I have the electrified version  - old style rings on my engage bag. Works!
I am curious about the new style you have opted for. What are the differences. Wonder if it comes in an electified version?

The electrified version is neat.  I'm not sure if it's available in the EVO yet.  I'll bet it is.

The two changes I noticed in the Evo is 1) the gas tank ring has a much lower profile and 2) the bag locks to the tank ring by pushing straight down instead of a hinge-type action.

Re: What did you do to your bike today

This week put new tires on Rue's Ninja and replaced my GSA's oil, oil filter, FD fluid, spark plugs; adjusted the valves & sync'ed the TB's.  All set for Eureka Springs (I hope).

Also waiting on a call to see about getting her a room mate for the garage.

Oh, mang!  I've had my electrified Bags-Connection bag sitting uninstalled in the garage for a while, and now I learn the connector (shown in photo below) is obsolete!  :P

As you can see in the image above, I also installed a Bags-Connection QUICK-LOCK EVO Bottom gas tank ring for my tank bags.  Because I had the old quick lock on my Bags-Connection Bags, I upgraded the top rings to the second generation version (i.e. EVO) on both tank bags.

Out with the old

I did NOTHING with my bike today. It is down for two parts which are both back order. A starter clutch and the low beam bulb retainer.  Sad

Replaced the front sprocket on the KLR. I had put a 16 tooth for the trip across the country, now I am home the 15 should do just right.

I also did the $0.22 mod, much smoother now and on the test ride the gears felt much better suited for my needs  Bigok

Changed the Gladius' rear tire for the first time this past weekend.  It was not too hard at all.

Drained the very dirty oil (just back from a nearly 6000-mile trip) from the Strom. Letting it drip overnight before putting in the new.
