Noticed one rear turn signal was loose at the stalk--and the side reflector that attaches under it was missing.  Hmmm.

Had to remove the rear bodywork to tighten the nut.  That's all it was.  To maintain symmetry, I removed the opposite reflector as well...as soon as I loosed the nut a bit, it just dropped off...almost as if it was designed to be easily removed Wink  While I was at it, I removed the last reflector, and the back of the bike looks much cleaner now.

Of course, while in the garage, tools in hand...hmmm...recently bought a fresh bottle of DOT4 brake fluid, no time like the present, so I replaced the brake fluid front and rear (filled it from the bottom end, no bleeding required).

Installed a new 190/55 PP 2ct, and a metal 90 degree valve stem (so I can actually get my air chuck on the valve).

Just checked my tire pressures, added the tankbag and dumped all the unnecessary weight from the side bags for tomorrow's romp.

Rode it around a bit. Passed some cars. Went to the market and picked some eggs and butter.

Then I came home and made waffles.

Well, I clipped the bumper of the pickup with the right sidecase as I was backing down the driveway this morning. Cracked the case cover.

Yes, I knew the truck was back there, but I made the mistake of fiddling with the iPod at the same time.

   Fuck.

Replaced the hypoid gear oil in the tranny - next up, drive shaft and final drive.

Then I need to figure out how to get the melted firstgear pants residue off the exhaust  Angry3

Note to self - don't stand to close to the hot pipes

Heat the pipe up and wipe it off. Don't try scraping it off, you'll mar the finish. Hard lesson learned many moons ago.

What do you wipe it off with? Seems to stay pretty crusty, even when the pipe is hot.

Worked on it for a couple hours in the heat (soldered a broken wire, straightened the front end, messed with the gauges), and almost fainted as I was cleaning up so that's it for working on the bike for a while.  Sad

Ordered the Givi hard luggage mounts for the Daytona from England.  Someone actually stocks the Givi mounts still!  They should ship Monday or Tuesday, but I'll be looong gone at that point.  They should be passing overhead as I hit Halifax a week from Friday.

Took the front wheel off. I figure that unicycles must use less petrol.
