Washed all of November's grime off. It was bad. Crazy

I leave the November grime on there.  I think of it as a protective coating to keep the winter nasty's at bay.

Oh, I put my updated insurance card under the seat.  Ice storm last night.  Thumbsdown

Picked the bike up from the shop this morning. Me thinks a quick ride through the Delta is needed after work.

Thanks, I really like the quality of this thing, the front is carbon fiber pattern vinyl, looks sharp (way better than stock).

Friggin' snow... oh yeah, I keep the Gerbings on year round, tuck 'em under the seat in summer. Had Hurricane Sandy (which picked my bike up and slammed it into my car), then snow, then a warm spell, no cold again here in S.E. Pa.

Installed the wiring for a heated visor to combat Foggy Shield Syndrome. Eliminating FSS will ensure a safe ride home in the wee hours of the morn.

They make them for snowmobile helmets (i have one on mine) but I've never seen them for motorcycle helmets.

There is a strip on the top and bottom of the shield. The Velcro strip on the top is for holding a sun shield.

Cool Thumbsup
The idea of a heated grid (well upper and lower heated strips) in a visor had never occurred to me.
I am interested in how well it works.

The short test I did of it, showed heat in the shied after 20-30 seconds. Should work as advertised to keep the shield from fogging. I will report back once I use it.

I'd be more concerned with how it performs when a rock bounces off it at speed.  Any info on what it's actually made of?

Looks to be the same material as a regular shield, but possibly a bit thinner. You do have a point about a rock, but as its primary (possibly only use) will be commuting and the risk of a kicked up piece of debris is low (not a lot of traffic or speed on my route) and the fact that I wear glasses with safety lenses mitigates the risk quite a bit.

Pushed the bike off to the side of the garage and pulled in the sport touring SUV to pull out the broken transfer case.

Heated garages are nice when it 28 outside.

the above opinion is simply that of an average middle aged hick with one too many brain injuries... or, don't take it too serious.
